About the job

  • Would you like to help strengthen quality, patient safety and professional development?
  • Are you passionate about nursing professional quality, documentation and competence development?
  • Are you motivated by translating health professional requirements, instructions and legislation into practice that provides value for both citizens and employees?

So maybe you are the one we are looking for to our new initiative to strengthen nursing in the citizen team Rønde.

We are creating 3-4 new combined positions at 37 hours/week as citizen-team nurse with partial responsibility for quality and improvement tasks.

Our council has just allocated 5.5 million DKK to staffing increases for the nursing in the citizen team, and at the same time the upcoming quality standards for municipal nursing indicate that there should be a strengthening of quality in the municipal area. We want to lead this direction, and therefore we are now creating some completely new positions in citizen team Rønde, where we combine the traditional role as citizen team nurse with a fixed allocated amount of time for quality- and improvement work.

In Rønde, we have just merged the two former teams into a common citizen team Rønde, because we see a need to work with completely new ways to approach and solve future health and elderly care tasks. We work every day to create safe, cohesive and professionally strong pathways for the citizens.

We therefore seek engaged and professionally grounded nurses who wish to make a difference through engagement in citizen-near task solving, quality assurance as well as learning and development close to practice.

As a nurse with quality- and improvement tasks, you will have a central role in supporting colleagues and management in the work of raising the professional quality and patient safety in practical work. You will become an important sparring partner in the team in daily life, and you will help ensure that health professional requirements and guidelines are translated into concrete actions in meetings with citizens.

Your tasks

Your tasks will among other things be to work with performing health-professional tasks in a holistic approach, ongoing bedside teaching in the team, strengthen documentation practices and support structure in ongoing follow-up on the citizens and the health-professional interventions.

The nurses with quality- and improvement tasks in the team will also play an important role in the introduction of new employees and in ongoing professional sparring through shadow days, side-by-side training and reflection in practice.

Quality- and improvement work does not happen by itself, so we have decided to put action behind the intentions and concretely plan with time for the many quality tasks that daily life calls for to be solved. Therefore our new nurses with quality- and improvement tasks will be taken completely out of daily task solving for 8–10 hours weekly, where the hours are targeted at different quality- and improvement tasks in their own practice area and as support for the team's professionalism.

This also means that you may have the opportunity to work from home on some of the days you have set aside for quality- and improvement tasks.

We ensure together with you that the days for quality work are planned in your on-call shift, so that they are maintained.

You will partly have to work together with other nurses with quality- and improvement tasks, but you will also become part of a collaboration led by our cross-disciplinary quality nurses.

We also offer

  • A workday where priority is given to coherence between citizen-task solving and good sparring forums across citizen teams, where the nurses gather for common professional discussions and competence development
  • Opportunity to take on roles within daily guidance of students and planning.
  • Be frontrunners in establishing and building a new team culture where we dare think differently and we dare to test with learning in mind.
  • Weekly team meetings where the whole team gathers for citizen discussions and teaching.
  • Nearby leadership, where you are continuously offered conversations and sparring with a view to ongoing well-being, competence development and general sparring.
  • Day shift with weekend shift every 4th weekend
  • Flexibility in work time planning and on-call
  • A workday where there is a strong emphasis on balancing concrete citizen tasks and quality development as well as work-life balance.
  • A clear career path, where after 2-3 years of employment there may be a possibility to be curious about leadership, possibly citizen-near nursing education, possibly diploma in relevant professional areas, etc. Here, in our annual MUS (employee development interview) we explore together how we best support and further develop your competencies.

We are looking for you who

  • Are a licensed nurse and place high value on professionalism.
  • Work in a structured, systematic way and have a sense for quality – and improvement work in daily practice.
  • Can see yourself in both practice-oriented task solving and the professional beacon on quality- and improvement tasks.
  • Have strong communication skills, and can translate your professional knowledge into action in practice.
  • Thrive in a role where you both perform, support and develop tasks in accordance with the Health Act and the Elderly Act.
  • See yourself as a team player and inspirer for your colleagues.
  • Have interest in, or experience with quality- and improvement work.
  • Take initiative and work independently, while generously sharing your knowledge with colleagues.
  • Have knowledge of Cura, applicable framework for nursing documentation or a desire to quickly learn it.
  • It would be nice if you have more than 2 years of experience.

With us you get the offer of an exciting and versatile position with a great opportunity to influence future task solving, with a strengthened focus on quality- and improvement-work.

You will become part of a new team where learning, collaboration and professional development are the core, and where you work both strategically in learning and in practice with health-professional tasks.

Can you recognise yourself in the above, and would you like to help develop and rethink future citizen-centered health initiatives in Syddjurs Municipality? Then we look forward to hearing from you.
