About the job

In connection with the municipality's task portfolio changing as the health reform comes into force on January 1, 2027, Esbjerg Municipality will gather the majority of the temporary beds in a municipal rehabilitation department with 15 overnight beds located at Plejehjemmet Hedelund. The staff will consist of nurses, social- and health assistants, occupational therapists, physiotherapists and household assistants.

The nursing unit is therefore seeking 3 nurses. The positions are 37 hours, preferably day shifts, with work 5 weekends over 12 weeks. Other hours can be requested.

Commencement: January 1, 2027

The target group for the department is citizens who for a limited period require a temporary, around-the-clock stay because the citizen's situation cannot be clarified, rehabilitated or supported sufficiently in their own home.

The department will receive citizens with complex and often unresolved issues that affect their health, functional ability and opportunities to cope with daily life at home. The pathways focus on clarifying the citizen's future health and functional ability as well as need for support, housing and interventions with a view to the greatest possible independence.

As a nurse you will perform tasks such as clinical assessment, wound care, medication management and documentation.

You will also take on the following tasks

  • You participate in care with a rehabilitative approach
  • You ensure a nursing professional intervention based on a rehabilitative approach
  • You take part in the acute and complex tasks around the citizen
  • You participate in the interdisciplinary collaboration around the citizen
  • You engage in dialogue with the citizen, relatives and partners
  • You support, develop and ensure the quality of nursing

We expect that you

  • Have broad clinical experience
  • Are eager to work interdisciplinary and have an appreciative and rehabilitative approach to citizens
  • Are passionate about helping to develop and quality-assure the nursing field by working evidence-based and focusing on integrating new knowledge
  • Are able to take on clinical leadership and feel comfortable in the role of decision-maker and coordinating
  • Thrive in a work environment that is both independent and closely cross-disciplinary and cross-sectoral, and provide and seek professional sparring across both own and other professional groups
  • Thrive in a busy daily life where you must take responsibility and prioritise your tasks
  • Can meet nursing documentation practice and can use common documentation tools
  • Are keen to help build and develop a new department

We look forward to hearing from you

We are seeking you who are a trained nurse, professionally well-founded and who can also see yourself applying your competences in a cross-disciplinary context in collaboration with other actors.

If you have become curious and would like to hear more, you are welcome to contact manager Gitte Puggaard at tel. 29 33 52 84 or email [email protected].
