We are seeking a new nursing home manager for Frederiksgade Nursing Home in Haslev.

Our current manager is retiring, and therefore we are looking for you who want to take over after a leader who has left their mark on the house – and who at the same time dares to help shape Frederiksgade's next chapter.

Frederiksgade Nursing Home is centrally located in Haslev and is home to about 45 residents. Here you will meet about 50 dedicated employees who every day work to ensure that the residents experience a safe, meaningful and good everyday life.

As the nursing home manager you will be responsible for people, professionalism and operations. You must be able to see the whole, hold the direction and at the same time be close to everyday life.

We are in the process of creating the care of the elderly of the future

The Elderly Act sets a clear direction for our work. Self-determination, continuity, presence, joy of life and self-reliance must be felt in residents' everyday lives.

At Frederiksgade you will help translate that direction into practice.

We work, among other things, with a few clear quality markers

• that residents experience self-determination and influence over their own lives

• that residents' wishes, goals and needs are the starting point for the help
• that relatives and civil society are invited in when it makes sense for the resident

You must be the leader who brings it all together.

You must like both people and leadership

We are looking for a leader who is clear without being rigid, and who can create followers without having to have all the answers themselves.

You are a trained nurse and have management experience and preferably a relevant leadership qualification. You have solid professional knowledge of the elderly, health and care sector and understand the reality the employees are in.

You must be able to

Lead staff – even when it gets difficult. You can recruit and retain skilled staff, work systematically with well-being and sickness absence and have difficult conversations when necessary.

Set direction – and be clear about what you expect. You communicate clearly and properly and create the framework within which employees can succeed.

Drive development – without forgetting operations. You can translate new requirements and political decisions into a daily life that makes sense for both residents and staff.

Keep control of the finances – and take responsibility for ensuring resources are used as effectively as possible.

Create collaboration. You see TRIO, local-MED, nursing home councils, volunteers and partners as important players. You understand that a good nursing home is not created by staff alone, but together with residents, relatives and the local community.

And you are a leader who goes ahead. You are present, curious and dare to take action when something must change.

You will have a strong team around you

As the leader of Frederiksgade you will not be alone with the core task and operations.

You will become part of a strong professional team at the nursing home with, among others, social and health helpers, social and health assistants, nursing home nurses, a planner and a deputy manager.

This means you will have strong professional resources around you in everyday life and a management foundation that supports daily operations, the staff and the development of quality.

Your task is therefore not to be able to do everything yourself, but to set direction, create coherence and make the many competencies work well together for the core task – the good everyday life for the residents.

You will become part of a strong leadership community

You will become part of the leadership group in Health & Care, where we are 12 leaders who work closely together and share knowledge, challenges and solutions across the organization.

You will also get a buddy among your new leadership colleagues who will be your primary contact person in the first period and help you settle in.

Salary and terms of employment

The position is remunerated according to the current collective agreement and Faxe Municipality's pre-agreement for leading nurses.

The position is generally placed at L12. In accordance with the pre-agreement, an extra pay grade is given for more than 3 years of leadership experience, and relevant leadership education is remunerated financially.

The specific salary is determined based on the current collective agreement, the pre-agreement and your relevant qualifications and experience.
