Nutrition Assistant for Trip Trap Træsko

A skilled and responsible nutrition assistant or diet-related sole owner

The position is permanent and 25 hours in our small house with the possibility of 7 hours in our other kitchen and/or child care hours up to 37 hours in total (as an assistant educator in a children’s group).

About the job

Are you professionally grounded in a production kitchen and do you have a passion for offering children a healthy, nourishing and varied diet, where meals largely consist of Danish and organic ingredients, then this position might be for you.

You will be responsible for purchasing, meal plans, self-check, hygiene, serving all children’s meals as well as serving at meetings and events. You will also be responsible for ensuring there is food in the freezer for days when you are absent and for offering special diets for our children with special needs.

Finally, you will be part of the collaboration across the entire institution and you should, among other things, occasionally involve a couple of children in preparing pedagogical meals and daily carry out practical tidying tasks after the children have eaten in the rooms.

What we expect from you

• That you have a diet-related education, preferably as a nutrition assistant.
• That you can independently manage meal planning, preparation and self-check.
• That you have knowledge of, and experience with, food for children 0 – 6 years.
• You have experience as a responsible kitchen staff member and the ability to work independently
• You are prepared that organic food and food waste have high priority
• You keep up to date with rules in the field as well as the Health Authority’s recommendations
• That you are a flexible, positive, responsible, robust and change-ready person.
• That you have a good overview and can maintain focus on the core task.
• That you can collaborate with other professional groups and daily contribute to a good working environment.
• You have experience with IT
• That you value good dialogue with children, parents and colleagues.
• You are engaged and trustworthy towards both children, parents and colleagues

About us

At Trip Trap Træsko we have 190 children distributed in 3 houses that are physically separated – two houses are located in Nørremarken and the last house in Vejle city center.

We have two production kitchens of which you will be one of our 4 responsible employees. We have close cooperation between the houses. And when someone is on vacation the others rotate in our kitchens as needed.

Starting salary

The appointment is made according to the agreement for nurses and health visitors, nutrition assistants, professional bachelor’s degrees in nutrition and health, pharmaceutical technologists, dental hygienists, etc., §§ 3-5 on wage setting. The expected starting salary for full-time and excluding pension is 28,146 DKK / falls in the range 28,146 - 29,519 DKK depending on seniority. It should be noted that final placement, including collective agreement basis and salary level, is determined based on your education and qualifications and the specific offered position.
