Nutrition Assistant or Cook with Coordinating Role at Klarahus Nursing Home in De Gamles By in Nørrebro

Do you want to make a difference and help create meaningful dining experiences for elderly citizens?

We are looking for someone who can contribute to production, have an overview, and order goods etc. for our dynamic and academically strong kitchen team at Klarahus – a nursing home with 110 residents distributed over three departments in De Gamles By on Nørrebro. Here you will have a central role in delivering nutritionally correct, flavorful prepared meals that promote residents' well-being, health and quality of life.

The City of Copenhagen has an ambitious food policy that emphasizes that the food is both nutritionally correct and appealing to the senses – while also being organic. As a coordinator you will help ensure that we realize the visions to the benefit of our residents.

Your profile

You are trained as a Nutrition Assistant, cook or Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Health, and have experience from the elderly sector. In addition, you can support a good working community with an honest and friendly tone, where there is room for a good laugh together. You want to be part of a nursing home, and have close contact with residents and care staff.

As a kitchen coordinator you will have close collaboration with the kitchen manager, and must understand how to prioritize and delegate tasks in daily production as well as be a role model for colleagues in the kitchen. You shall be part of the production of all daily meals and be passionate about development and sustainability. In addition, you will handle and support with purchasing, production planning and act as the link between the kitchen and the departments.

We imagine that you are quality-conscious, proactive and thrive in a multidisciplinary environment with focus on collaboration, respect and high professional standards. You have the ability to maintain an overview in a busy everyday life and work in a structured manner with focus on hygiene, food safety and sustainability.

Employment terms

The position is 37 hours and exclusively day shifts Monday to Friday in the time window 06:30-14:00. Some evening shifts may occur on holidays and special events where flexibility and commitment are important for the kitchen team. The position is desired to be filled from 1 December 2026 or as soon as possible. Salary and employment terms according to current collective agreement.
