About the job

Are you an occupational therapist with an interest in rehabilitation and restorative training? Are you passionate about making a difference for citizens, based on their own wishes and goals? Then you may be our new colleague.

As we currently have many occupational therapy tasks, we are looking for an occupational therapist for a six-month temporary position. Your tasks will involve working with geriatric and medical citizens, and there may be tasks in the neurological realm.

About the job

You will work with rehabilitation in a municipal practice where you are close to citizens’ everyday lives and develop your professional competencies in a strong multidisciplinary and cross-professional environment. In addition to all your colleagues in rehabilitation, you will also have cross-disciplinary colleagues in the Department of Health and Prevention as well as in our Rehabilitation and Restoration Team (ROG), which is anchored in holistic care.

Your tasks will include, among others

  • Manage programs both individually and in groups, based on the Health Act § 140, the Social Services Act § 86, as well as ÆL. The tasks are carried out either at rehabilitation centers or in citizens’ own homes.
  • Assess, plan and carry out occupational therapy interventions. In geriatric teams tasks are often complex, mainly concerning the older citizen.
  • Strengthen citizens’ ability to manage daily activities and achieve the greatest possible independence.
  • Work closely with physiotherapists as well as the various home care and nursing teams.
  • Focus on volunteering and the importance of civil society for the citizen’s life.

About you

  • Are educated as an occupational therapist
  • Have an interest in the citizen’s daily life, activity and participation
  • Are curious, engaged and motivated for professional development.
  • Want to work with digitally supported rehabilitation.
  • Thrive in a close multidisciplinary collaboration and communicate clearly, both in writing and verbally.
  • Work independently and responsibly in everyday work and seek relevant leadership sparring when needed.

About us

In Rehabilitation, Health and Prevention we work with citizens across all diagnosis groups under the Health Act § 140, the Older Persons Act and the Service Act § 86. A significant part of our work involves prevention, including interventions focusing on lifestyle, health and mastery of everyday life, including after program periods under § 119.

Across the units we are a single department of 42 colleagues, of whom 32 are occupational and physiotherapists. Rehabilitation is organized at three locations: Health Center Bøgebakken (Lejre), Rehabilitation Center Hvalsø and Rehabilitation Center Grønnehave (Ejby). Our geriatric team is based in Hvalsø.

We offer

  • A professionally strong and engaged team.
  • A strong sense of community, where well-being and the working environment are prioritized.
  • A self-determined workday with close citizen contact.
  • Opportunity to develop your professional competencies in a strong multidisciplinary environment.
  • Great emphasis on interdisciplinary collaboration and joint solutions.
  • An active collaboration with civil society and volunteers, who play an important role in Lejre Municipality.
