About the job

Do you want to work with financial management and economic analyses in a growth municipality with high ambitions?

In Silkeborg Municipality we are looking for an engaged and analytically strong financial consultant who wants to work close to decision-makers and contribute to competent and effective financial management and strengthen the corporate perspective across the organization.

You will become part of an ambitious and informal community where we help each other, share knowledge and still have room for laughter in daily life.

Your tasks will focus on financial management and economic analyses.

The tasks may include, among other things, that you

  • are the budget holder for a subject area, where you function as the financial sparring partner for the head of department and management
  • create overview and direction in budget follow-ups and budget planning and translate financial issues into sharp proposals and decision materials for management and politicians
  • perform financial analyses that contribute to better prioritization and governance
  • participate in or lead projects that support financial management across the organization
  • contribute to the development of financial management, methods, processes and the use of data and BI across the municipality

Depending on your profile we will bring your competencies in financial management, data, BI, analyses and projects into play as best as possible.

About you

We imagine that you thrive with responsibility and want to work at the crossroads of finance, leadership and politics. You should be able to lift your gaze and think in solutions that support the corporate perspective and contribute to efficient financial management across the entire municipality.

We are looking for a colleague who

  • has great financial insight and understanding of numbers and data
  • can analyze a new issue and present the points precisely
  • has experience with – or a desire to – coordinate finance-related projects and processes
  • has personal impact and thinks strategically
  • is a good team player in a work community where we are ambitious, trust each other and look after one another.

We are looking for a colleague who can contribute to making us even more successful. Your educational background is not important. You may have a social science education such as cand.oecon. or cand.scient.pol. Maybe you are a municipal-trained financial employee. Or maybe something completely different. The important thing is that with your professional skills you can help raise financial management in Silkeborg Municipality. It is therefore a clear advantage if you have several years of experience with municipal financial management and experience in driving processes in a politically led organization.

The most important thing, however, is that you have motivation and energy to further develop financial management in Silkeborg Municipality.

Our organization

In Silkeborg Municipality, the municipality's financial tasks are pooled in a common finance unit consisting of Corporate Finance and Operational Finance.

Corporate Finance consists of two teams

  • Budget and Analysis
  • Accounting and Capital Projects.

We are seeking a new colleague to the Budget and Analysis team, where we solve tasks at the corporate level for the council, committees, management, etc. We have responsibility for coordinating budget processes and budget follow-ups, financial analyses, capacity forecasts and BI and are project managers on finance-related analyses and development tasks.

You will join Corporate Finance in a professional community with about 25 dedicated colleagues, where we prioritize cooperation, sparring and well-being. We have a culture where you can always reach out, and where we have a good social cohesion.

The position offers good opportunities for professional and personal development, and we offer an exciting job with a central placement in the organization close to the council and executive management.
