Ørstedskolen is seeking a teacher for a maternity leave substitute in the upper school

Ørsted School is seeking an engaged and academically strong teacher with a major in physics/chemistry. We also look forward to hearing which other teaching subjects you have competencies in, and how you can contribute to the school's academic community.

You will become part of a school with engaged and competent teachers in the middle years and in the upper years. If you would like to work in a developing learning environment with a focus on learning, community, and well-being, you may be the teacher we are looking for.

Ørsted School is a public school for students from grade 0 to 10, with about 550 pupils.

Ørsted School, located in Rudkøbing on Langeland, is a very attractive and inviting school which was built in 2010 and comprises a large number of square meters. We have our own sports halls, a sports facility with ball courts and athletics facilities. The school also has a large outdoor area with three atrium courtyards, spacious green areas with a playground and pleasant seating areas. In addition, the school is close to forest, beach and water.

Salary and employment

Full-time employment as soon as possible and no later than December 1, 2026.

The maternity cover has an end date of November 30, 2027.

Salary and employment terms in accordance with the applicable collective agreement and the principles of local salary negotiation.

Salary is set after individual negotiation based on the Agreement for teachers and others in the public school system and for adult special education.

Starting salary for a public school teacher in this position is expected to be between 34,000 – 43,400 DKK per month (excluding pension), depending on years of service.

In addition, there will be opportunities to negotiate individual allowances based on relevant competencies.
