Ørstedskolen seeks a teacher for the upper grades

Ørstedskolen seeks an engaged and academically strong teacher with a Danish linjefag. We also look forward to hearing which other teaching subjects you have competencies within, and how you can contribute to the school's academic community.

In addition, we are seeking a teacher who will take on the role of class teacher. We view the class teacher role as an important and meaningful task. As a class teacher you help create a safe everyday life where all students feel seen, heard and as a worthy part of the community.

You will become part of a school with engaged and competent teachers in the middle grades and in the upper school. If you would like to work in a developing learning environment with a focus on learning, community and well-being, then you may be the teacher we are looking for.

Ørstedskolen is a public school for students from 0–10th grade, with about 550 students.

Ørstedskolen, located in Rudkøbing on Langeland, is a very attractive and welcoming school built in 2010 and covering a substantial amount of square meters. We have our own sports halls, a sports facility with ball courts and athletics facilities. The school also has a large outdoor area with three atrium courtyards, large green areas with a playground and pleasant seating areas. Additionally, the school is near forest, beach and water.

Salary and employment

Full-time employment as soon as possible and no later than December 1, 2026. The position is temporary with an end date of June 30, 2027.

Salary and terms of employment in accordance with the applicable collective agreement and the principles for local pay formation.

The salary is set after individual negotiation based on the Agreement for teachers etc. in primary school and for adult special education.

The starting salary for a public school teacher in this position is expected to be between 34,000 – 43,400 DKK per month (excluding pension), depending on years of service.

In addition, there will be the possibility of negotiating individual allowances based on relevant competencies.

Note: Employment is conditional on a satisfactory child and criminal record check.
