We are looking for new colleagues. You must be a trained nurse, social- and health care assistant, a nursing student at least on the 3rd semester or a social- and health care assistant trainee, preferably with completed psychiatry internship.

Perhaps you already know psychiatry, perhaps not. The most important thing is that you are curious about the specialty and have a basic understanding and interest in our patient group.

With us you help some of the most vulnerable people in society, in difficult periods of their lives. You follow the patient closely and have an eye for challenges, opportunities and the individual’s hope.

Our team is broadly composed of different professional groups; in total we are 26 colleagues waiting for you. Daily management is handled by a chief nurse and a leading consultant.

Ward SL4 is an inpatient ward with room for 17 patients, of which eight beds are intended for patients with affective disorders.

In the treatment offering we actively work with, among other things

• Involving the patient in care and treatment
• Striving to work according to the milieu-therapeutic principles
• Exercise as part of the activity offering/treatment
• Psychoeducation, for both inpatients and their relatives
• Safeward
• Reduction of coercion

You will become part of Psychiatry West under Midt- and Vestsjællands Hospital

An organization in development with about 520 employees. In the West there are main functions for adults over 17 years within emergency reception, inpatient, and outpatient functions. Psychiatry West also has special functions within treatment of affective disorders, traumatized refugees, PTSD and oligophrenia. We have a Fusion Clinic/Steno diabetes-psychiatry unit and work especially closely with Holbæk and Slagelse hospitals.

Psychiatry West has its own research unit with a professor in clinical pharmacology and several PhD students. In addition, we participate in a number of projects aimed at ensuring closer cooperation with our municipalities and police. We work deliberately to reduce the use of coercion, and here cooperation with somatics is also important. Our wish is a psychiatry focused on recovery, patient involvement and networks, high professionalism, ethics and education.

In addition, the goal is to create the best possible learning environments for our various education programs for doctors, nurses, social- and health care assistants, etc., as well as to ensure a healthy and safe working environment for patients and staff.

Salary and terms of employment

The position falls under the collective agreement: Nurse, see under the Health Cartel. Social- and health care assistants and students see under Social- and Health Personnel. In connection with employment in Psychiatry, a reference will be obtained.

Area of employment

Region Zealand and Region Capital will on 1 January 2027 become Region Østdanmark as a result of the health reform. Your employment area will be Region Østdanmark with all associated organizational units.

Starting salary for employees covered by the collective agreement

The region is obliged to inform you about the starting salary for the position. You will be informed of base salary, centrally fixed allowances and pension under the relevant collective agreement. In addition to the starting salary, the salary may include any negotiated allowances depending on the position, your experience and qualifications.
