About the job
With us it's not just about times, codes and systems. It's about people. About getting patient pathways to hold together – and about making a busy everyday life function with an overview, collaboration and a smile in the voice.
You will have to perform tasks across our sites, both at the oncology department in Hillerød and at our palliative unit in Frederikssund a couple of days a week.
This is what you'll become part of
You will be part of a secretarial group where we help each other, share knowledge and get along well – even when it's busy. We believe that job satisfaction and professionalism go hand in hand, and we prioritize both highly.
With us there's room for both laughter in daily life and professional challenges.
We are also proud that the department was nominated this year for the Patient Satisfaction Award – for us it is a sign that what we all do for our patients every day actually makes a difference.
What your everyday life could look like
Until we move together to the New North Zealand Hospital, the department is divided over 2 sites; at the Hillerød site there is an integrated inpatient ward and outpatient clinic and in Frederikssund lies our palliative unit. The position is an all-round role, where your workday will be varied and with presence at both sites. You will follow patient pathways from start to finish and play an important role in creating structure and coherence.
You will, among other things
- manage daily schedules
- invite and book patients
- work with registration and coding
- switch between functions in reception, call center and back office
- perform registration in databases
We work in shifts, so you get a versatile everyday and insight into the entire process.
In addition we focus on matching tasks with your competencies and interests, so you also have the opportunity to shape your own work day.
We emphasize that
- You have a background as a health administrative coordinator or medical secretary
- You can work independently and take responsibility
- You can maintain an overview – even when pace is high
- You thrive with patient contact
- You have experience from the healthcare system
- You are familiar with the common systems, and SP competencies are a prerequisite.
If you also have experience with the oncology specialty or booking according to treatment plans, it's an extra plus – but not a requirement.
A workplace under development
We are in the preparations for the New North Zealand Hospital. This means we are in the middle of an exciting development with new workflows and opportunities. When we move together, we want the secretarial group to be fully integrated at NHN with both the oncological and palliative subspecialties.
We want to give our new colleague the opportunity to influence, to help shape the future of patient pathways and our collective future framework.
The practical
The position is 37 hours per week with daytime hours on weekdays. A smaller number of hours can be agreed.
You will receive a thorough induction and a close dialogue with your supervisor and professional coordinator, so you start confidently.
When you have found your place in the team and are well equipped to handle the daily tasks, there will be an opportunity for 1 day of home working per week.
We expect that you will work in Frederikssund 1-2 days a week.
Are you going to be our new colleague?
If you can see yourself with us, we would love to hear from you.
