Operational buyer for Give Steel in Brande

Now you have the opportunity to become an operational buyer at Give Steel A/S in Brande and ensure stable deliveries to production for one of Denmark's leading manufacturers of steel structures.

Role contents As an operational buyer you will be part of the purchasing department in Brande. You report directly to the purchasing manager and become part of a small, experienced team where there is a short path from decision to action.

You will be responsible for purchasing materials and components for production. Several of them have large purchasing volumes, so precision in ordering and follow-up makes a real difference.

The role is right for you who thrives with close contact to suppliers and production, and who appreciates ongoing following up and the administrative tasks that make procurement work in practice. Your effort is crucial for production having the necessary goods on time.

Your primary tasks will be

• Handle daily purchasing under existing contracts and make smaller purchases independently
• Systematically follow up on orders, deliveries and deadlines – and react when deviations occur
• Coordinate purchasing needs with production and other departments so the necessary goods are ordered in time
• Participate in annual negotiations and supplier meetings together with the purchasing manager

You will have independent responsibility for your tasks and contribute to structure and efficient workflows in everyday life. When you are well into the role, your area of responsibility can be expanded with more product areas. Your experiences and competences are actively brought into play, while you receive a thorough introduction and become part of a strong professional community where sparring and knowledge sharing are a natural part of daily life.

Experience with purchasing, order handling or internal sales support

• You have at least a couple of years' experience from purchasing, order handling, internal sales support or similar – preferably from a manufacturing or metalworking company where you have followed the order all the way.
• You have a technical flair and can understand what production needs
• Your educational background is not decisive, but you have solid IT skills, including Excel and preferably experience working in ERP systems
• You speak and write Danish and can communicate in English with foreign suppliers.
