Operations and Production Worker - with development opportunities

At AquaPri we breed rainbow trout, rainbow trout roe and pike-perch, and we have both freshwater and seawater farms. We also operate the world's largest fully recirculated sand perch facility in Gamst. All processing of rainbow trout and roe takes place at our own facility in Aarøsund . We are ASC certified, and we value quality and traceability at all stages. At the same time, we are a growing company.

About the position

Aarøsund is the heart of our processing, and here you will be involved where the action happens. You come close to the operation from day one, and you will be thoroughly trained by experienced colleagues who know every single process. Autumn is our busiest and most important period, and here you get a unique insight into the whole machinery.

This is not just a job, but a path forward. When you're ready, you will get more responsibility, and eventually you can take over a key role in the operation.

Your tasks

In daily work

• You plan the production and continuously follow up to ensure the plan holds.
• You control the production and hygiene and intervene if something deviates.
• You have overview of the entire production and always know where you are needed.
• You have close contact with all employees in production, collaborate with operators and challenge them in ways that make us better.
• You document hygiene and legal requirements so we are always ready for inspection.
• You use IT in daily work to register, follow up and document.

In peak season in autumn

• You help plan so large quantities of fish pass safely and efficiently.
• You maintain quality and hygiene high, even when days are long and pace is high.
• You learn all processes from day one and gradually take on more responsibility as you gain experience.

Who are you?

• You have technical savvy and enjoy solving practical challenges.
• You have experience with processing, preferably of fish or food products.
• You are good at leading and collaborating with people.
• You are a skilled craftsman who gets things done and makes things work in practice.
• You are IT-savvy and thrive on documenting and following up digitally.
• You have a strong eye for detail, hygiene and quality.
• You live close to Aarøsund or are willing to move here.

Language

You do not need to speak Danish from the start, but you must be proficient in English, because you will lead colleagues from several countries. In the longer term you will learn Danish so you can build a good relationship with the municipality/authorities and the neighbors around the plant.
