About the job

We are looking for an operations coordinator who can help ensure a well-functioning and coherent operation of the outdoor areas by the municipality's institutions and properties. You will have a central role in the collaboration between Park and Road, Properties Service, the institutions and our external partners.

About the job Rudersdal Municipality, Park and Road, seeks an operations coordinator who, with good collaboration skills, structure and a sense for coordination, can help ensure a well-functioning operation of the municipality's green areas – with particular focus on outdoor areas at the municipality's institutions and properties.

You will become an important part of the green operations and will work closely with the operations manager for the green area and the other colleagues in Park and Road.

The green operations include, among other things, parks, natural areas, sports facilities, green road areas and outdoor areas at the municipality's institutions and properties. In addition, we handle various smaller construction and reorganization tasks as well as a range of other operations.

As an operations coordinator you will play an important role in daily coordination and follow-up. You will be an important link between Park and Road and the many municipal institutions and properties, where you will, among other things, have dialogue with the daily managers and ensure that tasks are agreed, coordinated and followed through.

A significant part of the job will be the collaboration with Properties Service and the technical service staff, who are responsible for the buildings’ interior maintenance. Here you will be a close partner and contribute to ensuring that tasks on buildings and outdoor areas are coordinated across.

You will also have contact with external partners and subcontractors and help ensure that agreed tasks are carried out with the desired quality and within the agreed terms.

You will have a varied and meaningful job, where you must have an eye for daily operations, the finances and the many collaboration relations – and at the same time be able to handle the practical tasks and follow-ups that make everyday life function.

You can therefore expect a daily life where you switch between dialog with an institution head about a concrete need, planning with a gardening team, follow-up on a contractor, checking an invoice and coordinating with Properties Service. It requires an overview, good communication and the ability to bring many different ends together.

Your tasks will include

  • Coordinate the operation and maintenance of the municipality's playgrounds and sandboxes, including follow-up on inspections and any repairs.
  • Coordination around municipal rental properties, including collaboration with the property manager on social housing and with the Housing Office Denmark on senior housing.
  • Economic follow-up and invoice processing within your own areas.
  • Registration and updating of information in relevant IT and resource management systems.
  • Contribute to the development of workflows, quality and service in the area.
  • Contribute to a good working environment and safety in task execution.

Your profile You have experience with coordination, operations and service – preferably from a municipality, another public organization, property management, park management or another organization with many different users and partners.

The most important is not necessarily your specific educational background, but that you understand operations, thrive with coordination and have a natural interest in making things work in practice. You may, for example, have education in gardening, green operations, construction, property management, technical service or another relevant craft or technical discipline. An administrative or coordinating education combined with solid practical experience can also be a good background for the job.

You have a practical understanding and experience that enables you to assess tasks and maintenance needs. You do not need to be able to perform all tasks yourself, but you must be able to see when something requires action – and be able to assess what is needed to solve the task.

It could be, for example, when you need to assess whether a playground equipment has damage or involves a safety risk, whether woodwork is worn or rotten and should be replaced, whether the gardening care meets the quality descriptions or whether a minor repair can be handled by our own staff or must be handled by an external supplier.

You work in a structured and systematic way and can keep an overview when many tasks and stakeholders are involved at the same time. You follow up on agreements and ensure that tasks do not fall between two stools.

You are good at communicating and building good relationships. You can talk to both an institution head, a technical service worker, a contractor, a colleague in Park and Road and a leader in Properties Service – and you understand that good coordination often is about finding solutions that work for all parties.

You are proactive, service-minded and solution-oriented. You take responsibility for your tasks and at the same time understand when a matter should be raised to the operations manager.

You have an eye for finances and can monitor consumption, invoices and agreements within your area. You have good IT skills and are familiar with the Office suite and digital systems for planning, registration and documentation.

It is advantageous if you have experience with supervision, self-check and quality assurance as well as smaller construction or reorganization tasks. Knowledge of occupational safety in connection with operations is also an advantage, as is familiarity with municipal organizations and decision-making processes.

As a person you are outgoing, accommodating and positive. You thrive in a daily life where you work both independently and as part of close collaboration with colleagues and management.

It is a requirement that you have a driver's license for passenger cars (B).
