Arealdrift in Center for Arealer og Ejendomme seeks an experienced operations manager for the Drift Vej operations unit. Across Arealdrift we are about 80 employees with varied expertise, education and background. As the municipality's operations department, our tasks range from maintenance of public road areas, squares and winter service to operation, care and maintenance of the municipality's green areas and municipal cemeteries.

We are seeking a new and preferably experienced operations manager for Drift Vej, who will create the best framework for the employees and contribute to ensuring that the municipality's operations are carried out efficiently and with high quality. What is the framework for the job?

You will become part of the operations leadership together with your leadership colleagues in Drift Grøn and Drift Kirkegårde, and you will be tasked with ensuring good and proper leadership of the approx. 15 employees in Drift Vej, for whom you are responsible.

With reference to the Head of Arealdrift, you as operations manager have responsibility for daily operations, task execution and leadership of your own area. You focus on high professionalism, operational optimization and good service for the benefit of the municipality's citizens and users. This happens in close collaboration with your other colleagues in the management team. What tasks will you handle?

On your to-do list is

• Daily prioritization and qualification of tasks
• Staff management, including creating motivation, well-being and job satisfaction
• Optimal task management and consistency in task execution
• Systematic conduct of performance and development interviews (MUS), handling of sick leave, etc.
• Guarantee of good and clear collaboration internally and externally, including through good and clear communication
• Responsibility for your own drift team as well as management of the shared budget in Drift Vej

You will join the team that on a rotating basis handles operations duty and winter service. At the same time you join a management team focused on collaboration and cross-disciplinary task solving. What do you bring to the table?

• You feel comfortable and at home in a leadership role, and together with your employees you will work for efficient operations through professionalism, mutual trust and good well-being in your drift unit
• You have solid leadership experience within road maintenance, paving and quality descriptions and preferably know the municipal sector from a similar position
• Perhaps you also have some experience with drainage and sewer systems, which we inevitably come into contact with when we work on the road
• You are able to create an overview and coherence between tasks at both strategic and operational levels
• You have a keen eye for constructive solutions
• You are a natural and positive role model when there is a need to challenge the "we’ve always done it this way" culture
• You are curious about new methods and efficient task solving
• You know that as a leader in a political system you must nurture good relations and engage in close collaboration with the rest of the administration
• You are good at communicating in relation to citizen inquiries and political service – and you also master speaking with contractors in their language
• You know that structure and plans are important to reach goals
