Operations Planner for the Road Sector in Operations and Service

Are you good at planning, coordinating and following concrete tasks through to the end? Do you thrive close to road maintenance and in collaboration with internal and external partners? Then you might be our new operations planner. A newly created position with own areas of responsibility

The position is new and created to strengthen daily task execution and to create better possibilities for developing the road area. You will have independent responsibility for concrete tasks, which you prepare, solve and follow through to the end.

You will primarily collaborate with the operations coordinators, the project manager, the municipality's other departments and external partners.

The position does not include personnel or resource responsibility. Tasks to be performed by the teams are prepared and handed over to the operations coordinator, who is responsible for further planning and allocation of resources. Your main tasks will be:

• Plan and follow up on tasks related to events.
• Order signs and marking materials.
• Handle tasks related to road drainage and drainage problems.
• Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, utility companies and other external partners.
• Obtain prices and quotes and register and follow up on tasks in relevant operating systems.
• Handle citizen inquiries.
• Prepare and describe tasks for handover to the operations coordinator / external parties.
• Support the operations coordinators and project manager and participate in cross-cutting tasks and projects.
• Participate in a on-call rotation as incident commander in winter and road duty in summer.

Who are you?

• Have experience from road, construction, contractor or utility areas or another operations organization.
• Work independently and structured and follow up on tasks through to the end.
• Have an understanding of practical operations and the interplay between planning and execution.
• Communicate clearly and can collaborate with colleagues, citizens and external companies.
• Have good IT skills and a desire to learn new systems and subject areas.

Your educational background is not decisive. Experience with municipal operations, road drainage, signage, events or external partners is an advantage but not a requirement. A strong sense of teamwork with responsibility close to the task

Salary and terms of employment

The position is 37 hours per week with the workplace at Hammershusvej 7, Herning.

You report to the department head for the road area.

Salary and terms of employment are determined according to applicable collective agreement.
