Organist

Organist at Ansgar Church in Flensburg and Harreslev Danish Church, Schleswig-Holstein, Germany Ansgar Church in Flensburg and Harreslev Danish Church each have a vacant organist position at 30% (together 60%). The positions can advantageously be held by one person, as the Sunday services are staggered, and there are only about 3 km between the churches.

We are seeking one or more organists who will work closely with the pastors and church staff. We want a colleague who loves the Danish high mass and who can support the services with empathy and loyalty. Both churches have, with a few exceptions, a service every Sunday and on holidays. In addition, there is a moderate volume of church rites as well as school and kindergarten services.

About the churches and the organs

• Ansgar Church (Apenrader Straße 25, Flensburg): The organ was built in 1968 by Brdr. Bruhn, Årslev. It is equipped with two manuals and a pedal with about 1,300 pipes distributed over 21 stops. The organist is provided with his/her own office.
• Harreslev Church (Berghofstraße 10, Harreslev): The organ has 5 stops, 1 manual and pedal. The pedal (as the 6th stop draw) has a subbass 16′ from C to and continues with 8′ gedakt as transmission.

Salary and terms of employment

The positions are quota positions. Salary is set according to qualifications and seniority, based on the German Kirchlicher Arbeitnehmerinnen Tarifvertrag (KAT). There is a 6-month probation period.
