Then perhaps you are the one we are looking for as organist at Nordborg and Oksbøl Churches.

The position is available for occupancy from 1 December 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter.

The position is 34 hours per week on average.

As organist you will be a central part of the church's life. You will help shape the musical framework for worship services and church rites, and you will have the opportunity to influence and develop the church's music life in collaboration with the parish council, priests and other staff.

The organ in Nordborg Church was built in 1969 by Marcussen & Son and has 18 stops distributed over 2 manuals plus pedal

The organ at Oksbøl Church was built in 1988 by Marcussen & Son and has 11 stops distributed over 2 manuals plus pedal

There is electric piano in both churches. In addition to The Danish Hymnal we use 100 Hymns and other newer hymns.

Nordborg Church has a children’s and youth choir.

Concert activity 1 to 2 times annually with choir and orchestra.

Musical worship services 1 to 2 times annually.

Opportunity for cooperation with the parish’s schools: Nordals School, Friskolen Østerlund and Øksbøl Friskole.

Your tasks Your tasks will include, among others

• musical accompaniment at worship services and church rites in both churches and at care homes
• leading Nordborg Church’s children’s choir
• participating in planning and carrying out concerts and other music events in both churches in cooperation with activity committees
• teaching such as musical participation in confirmation and mini-confirmation education
• development of the church’s music life
• collaboration with the church’s staff, volunteers and external partners - e.g. funeral services
• other tasks naturally related to the organist position, e.g. baby hymn singing
• musical participation at parish meetings
• musical participation in hymn evenings
• supervision of instruments in both churches.

About the parishes Our pastorate is characterized by beautiful nature, where Nordborg Church is located in an urban setting and Oksbøl Church in rural surroundings.

Nordborg Parish has 2,734 members of the Danish National Church and Oksbøl Parish has 542 members.

We place emphasis on the churches being an active part of the local community.

Practical information You will be employed by Nordborg Parish Council, Tontoft 3, 6430 Nordborg

There is an obligation to perform service under other employing authorities in the diocese in accordance with the agreements the parish council enters into or has entered into. There is currently a cooperation with Oksbøl Parish Council.

Salary and employment terms The position can be filled by applicants with different church musician educations or by those without a formal education.

Hiring and remuneration are in accordance with the collective agreement applicable to your educational background. The applicable agreements can be seen here: OK24 - Information on pay & employment - Parish as employer - Guidelines - People’s Church Intranet.

Church musician (Danish Church Musician Association)

Employment is governed by the Common Agreement between the Ministry of Finance and CO10 as well as the organizational agreement for church musicians.

• Annual salary is agreed within the range 333,747.51 DKK – 475,590.08 DKK (current kroner).
• The position is subject to availability obligations. The standby allowance amounts to 27,641.26 DKK annually.
• In addition, an OK24 allowance of 1,082.28 DKK annually is provided.
• Pension contribution is 18.4% and paid into CO10 Pension at PFA.

Salary is determined after negotiations between the parish council and the Danish Church Musician Association.

Organist with the education 'Church Musician with a degree in Organ and Choir Conducting' (formerly PO organist)

Employment is governed by the agreement between the Municipality and County and the Ministry of Church Affairs and CO10.

The salary follows the basic salary system.

• Basic level 1: 350,435.40 DKK
• Basic level 2: 368,188.95 DKK

Placement is according to seniority.

The position is subject to availability obligations. The standby allowance amounts to 37,941.48 DKK annually when serving at 2-3 churches.

After local negotiation qualifications and functional supplements may be agreed. The pension contribution is 18.4% and paid into CO10 Pension at PFA.

Salary is set after negotiations between the parish council and the Organist Association.

DOKS organist

Organists with a church music bachelor’s or master’s degree are employed under the civil service agreement and the protocol for DOKS organists.

• Bachelor-educated: gross salary between 332,306.24 DKK and 417,156.38 DKK depending on seniority.
• Master-educated: gross salary between 363,168.71 DKK and 442,528.79 DKK depending on seniority.

The position is subject to availability obligations. The standby allowance ranges between 46,726.59 DKK and 72,572.63 DKK depending on seniority.

After local negotiation qualifications and functional supplements may be agreed. Pension contributions amount to 18.07% of base salary and 12.5% of the standby allowance. Pension contributions are paid into PFA Pension.

Salary is set after negotiations between the parish council and DOKS.

Civil servant organists

Current civil servant organists have the right to retain their civil service status upon appointment with a direct transition. In such cases, the position is classified.

Note

The stated salaries and allowances apply to a full-time position. Salary, OK allowance and any standby allowance are calculated pro rata to the position’s appointment fraction.
