About the job

Are you our new colleague?

Nørrevangsskolen is seeking, as of November 1, 2026 or as soon as possible, an engaged pedagogue or teacher with strong competencies in special pedagogy.

We are a school with a strong social commitment, skilled staff and wonderful students. Now we are looking for a new colleague who wants to help create a school where all children feel they belong and have the opportunity to succeed.

A school for all children

At Nørrevangsskolen we work from a fundamental belief that the public school is for all children. Therefore we are focused on developing inclusive learning environments and finding solutions that take into account both the individual student and the communities the student participates in.

We work in professional learning communities and have a focus on strengthening our knowledge about students' academic, personal and social development. We do this to continually learn what we as a school should do differently so that each student can take the next step.

Since 2022 we have had our own psychologist employed. The psychologist works closely with the school's other staff to ensure all children have equal opportunities for participation, development and learning in the school communities.

We are looking for someone who

  • can create clear and recognizable frameworks and build good relationships
  • is motivated to work with children with special needs
  • has special pedagogical competencies and can translate them into practice
  • works systematically and very well organized
  • is proactive and good at initiating activities and initiatives
  • meets students, parents and colleagues with an appreciative and respectful approach
  • sees cross-professional collaboration as a prerequisite for creating a good school day
  • can find solutions close to the students' everyday life and contribute to the development of inclusive learning environments
  • has a real and clear belief that the public school is for all children.

At the school we work according to common rules and frameworks that must ensure recognizability, clarity and predictability for the students. Therefore it is important that you can work in a structured and loyal manner within the shared agreements.

Your tasks

You will become part of a team that currently consists of five pedagogues with broad knowledge and experience within the field of special pedagogy. The team works daily to ensure that our children have equal opportunities to participate and succeed in the communities they participate in.

The team’s collective competencies should strengthen Nørrevangsskolen's possibilities to create a school where more children can participate, develop and succeed. Therefore it is important that you, with your experiences and special pedagogical competencies, can supplement the team and strengthen our shared ability to act.

Your primary tasks will be linked to the 0th and 6th grades.

You will also have tasks related to the transition from the district's day care to school. We want to create the best possible transitions and work on the principle that the school should be ready for all the district's children. The transition work is already underway.
