About the job
One of our skilled pedagogues is going on maternity leave, so we are looking for someone who can become part of a strong team of creative, professionally skilled, dedicated colleagues at STU – Silkeborg. We are a workplace where we are passionate about the task, and where we together make an effort to support each other in a committed work community.
This is a temporary position from December 1, 2026 or earlier, until June 30, 2027 with possibility of extension.
STU
STU-Silkeborg is Silkeborg Municipality’s Specially Planned Youth Education for young people with functional impairments. Our student group includes young people with e.g. autism, psychosocial challenges, ADHD, general learning difficulties as well as multiple disabilities. We also support young people with challenging behaviour who need a more sheltered offer. All are youths with special needs and different resources who require a specially tailored youth education.
Livslinjen
Livslinjen is our more sheltered offer with young people who require a high degree of support. They are individuals with low cognitive function, and some also need help with personal care, etc. Teaching takes place on individual premises with close guidance, mirroring and special pedagogical support, working towards individual goals. You are always together with colleagues on the task.
What a day looks like on Livslinjen
From 8 to 9 you meet with your team. Here you agree on a brief daily program and allocate tasks among yourselves. You also discuss long-term planning, students’ individual goals and progression, and other academic points.
At 9, the students arrive, and typically start with a group walk. The day consists of three modules, each module individually tailored for the individual student with adjusted learning activities. These can include academic tasks, creative activities, puzzles, physical movement, ADL tasks and much more. It is based on the young person’s goals and interests.
At 15, the students go home. Some days there may be meetings with colleagues. There can also be a day where you help transport the students in a minibus.
We are a workplace that
- Strives to find good solutions in collaboration
- Offers an exciting and vibrant learning environment
- Has good interdisciplinary collaboration in teams consisting of several subject areas
- Has some wonderful and lovely students
- Provides a good working environment and good colleagues who support one another
We are looking for a colleague who
- Can see themselves working with young people with a high degree of disability
- Can find motivation and enthusiasm in small developmental steps
- Has an appreciative and resource-oriented approach
- Is willing to be open to practice and participate in the shared learning in the team
Your educational background could be e.g. pedagogue, but we are also interested in hearing from you if you are something other than a pedagogue, if you find the task interesting.
