We are seeking as soon as possible and no later than 1/12-2026 a skilled educator or pedagogical assistant for a permanent position.

Skolen ved Nordens Plads is a holistic offer with about 215 children and youths and 160 staff. We are a dynamic and inclusive school that places high value on professionalism, well-being and community.

We have students at an early development stage, students with challenges within autism spectrum disorders, and students with general learning difficulties.

At Skolen ved Nordens Plads we are rooted in the belief that children do well when they can. We work with a starting point in Low Arousal, Mentalization and visualized, structured special pedagogy.

We are looking for a colleague who can contribute to creating the best framework for the students' learning and development.

Your task will be, in a committed cross-professional collaboration, to ensure that the students realize their potential for personal, academic and social development. With curiosity and ambitions you meet the children where they are.

The employees are co-leading, primarily in the core team, but also in professional and pedagogical groupings. Furthermore the school has counselors employed and all cooperate closely with Educational Psychological Counseling.

Your primary tasks will be

• Planning and implementation of pedagogical activities to support the students' academic and social development
• Collaboration with teachers and other staff on students' well-being
• Communication and collaboration with parents
• Participation in meetings and pedagogical development projects
• Preparation of documentation and status letters

We are looking for someone who

• is engaged and passionate about working with the special education field
• has a relevant pedagogical education, preferably with a focus on special pedagogy
• is calm and has a mentalizing approach to yourself, students and colleagues
• is prepared to work in a team with teachers, teaching assistants and other educators, where equality in collaboration is a key concept
• can involve the students so that meaning is created and support the students' independence and belief in themselves
• has an eye for seeing and developing students' potentials
