At Børnehuset Maglehøj we are looking for an academically strong and engaged pedagogue who has an eye for the children, the relationships and the strong communities of children – and who wants to actively bring their professionalism, perspectives and ideas into play.

We are well underway in developing the structure and pedagogy in and around our practice. Here you will have the opportunity to contribute with your professionalism and help set the direction for a everyday life where the good childhood is in the center.

A children's house close to both town and nature

Børnehuset Maglehøj is located centrally in Frederikssund South in beautiful green surroundings close to Ådalen with forest and lake nearby. The location gives us many opportunities to take the children out of the house and use both nature and the local area actively in the pedagogical work.

We are an integrated institution with

• the nursery group Alferne (0-2.5 years)
• the preschool group Skovtroldene (2.5-4 years)
• the preschool group Kæmperne (4-6 years)

Our playground also provides space for different forms of play – from campfire area, climbing frame and ball court to little corners where children can dive into play, create their own games and be together in smaller communities.

In everyday life we focus on presence, relationships and the good childhood. We work with a basis in reinforced curriculum themes and ICDP, and have a focus on creating safe, developmental and inspiring learning environments for all children.

We need your professionalism

As a pedagogue at Maglehøj you will have a central role in the children's daily lives and in the development of our shared pedagogical practice.

We are looking for a colleague who is curious about their own and others' practice, and who wants to bring their professional perspectives into the community. You should have a desire to reflect together with colleagues and the leader, translate professional knowledge into action and help create frameworks and learning environments where children can thrive, develop, play and be part of meaningful communities.

• can plan, implement and reflect on meaningful pedagogical activities

As a pedagogue in Frederikssund Municipality you will become part of a professional environment with opportunities for education and skills development.

In recent years we have among other things worked targeted with ICDP , which supports our focus on relationships and interaction between children and adults.

Culture and nature are also central elements in the pedagogical work. Through the municipality's culture trails preschool children meet music, art, prehistory and library programs. It gives the children the opportunity to encounter different cultural expressions and experiences as part of their preschool life.

Nature is also a natural part of our pedagogical work. Frederikssund Municipality is surrounded by nature, and in Maglehøj we have it close by. Here forest, lake and green areas can become pedagogical spaces for play, movement, immersion, community and curiosity.

The position is at 35-37 hours per week with start on November 1, 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter .
