Do you want to help create a safe and meaningful everyday life for a 16-year-old boy?

We are looking for an engaged pedagogical worker to a permanent team around a lively 16-year-old boy in Nødebo between Hillerød and Fredensborg.

The position is 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday during daytime, and is desired to be filled by November 1st. The effort is organized as a 2:1 arrangement, and you will therefore always work closely with a colleague.

The task is about creating a safe, recognisable and content-rich everyday life with a focus on well-being, joy, development and opportunities for learning. It is important that you want to get to know the boy well and can take your starting point in his resources, interests and daily form.

About the boy

The boy is 16 years old and especially enjoys being outdoors. He likes, among other things, making fires, cycling and playing ball.

He has complex physical and cognitive impairments and therefore needs support and help in all everyday activities.

He communicates using sign language, sounds, individual words and pictograms and is in the process of learning to use his speech computer. It is therefore important that you are curious about his communication and have patience to give him time and opportunity to express himself.

Everyday life and your tasks

Together with your colleague, you will be an important part of the boy’s everyday life and you will help create structure, presence and good development opportunities.

Your tasks will include, among other things

• to plan and carry out pedagogical activities based on the boy's interests, resources and needs
• to support play, learning, communication and participation in everyday life
• to participate in activities such as music and singing, fires, ball games and trips on a side-by-side bicycle
• to accompany the boy to a hot water pool and participate with him in the water
• to assist with eating, personal care and other daily tasks
• to collaborate closely with your colleague, the family and the professionals who surround the boy.

There is, among other things, a physiotherapist, an occupational therapist, a speech-language pathologist and a music therapist attached, and you will therefore be part of an interdisciplinary collaboration around the boy's development and well-being.

Working hours

35 hours per week.

Monday 9 - 16

Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 8 - 15

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for you who have experience within the pedagogical field. You can be a trained pedagogue, pedagogical assistant, teacher or the like – preferably with experience from the special needs area.

We place emphasis on the fact that you

• meet the boy with calm, presence and respect and are curious about his way of communicating
• are stable and responsible and can create recognisability and safety in daily life
• take initiative and can translate the boy's interests into meaningful activities
• thrive in close collegial cooperation and can coordinate and reflect on the pedagogical effort together with others
• wish to engage in the effort over a longer period and help create continuity around the boy.

It is a requirement that you have a driving license, as you must be able to drive the family car.
