Educator sought for maternity-leave replacement at Børnehuset Trylleskoven from 1 January 2027

You must be passionate about being a co-creator of the best possible conditions for our children.

Whether you are newly trained or have experience is not so important, as long as you bring good energy and the desire to contribute to a strong working community, and have the courage to take co-responsibility for the pedagogical work around the children.

The position is 30-37 hours per week, with start date January 1, 2027 (actual start January 4).

About Trylleskoven Trylleskoven is a small house that houses a kindergarten group normed to 22 children, and a nursery group normed to 13 children. We live on a quiet residential street in Ågerup near forest and fields, not far from the town square and the local library.

Our ambition to work based on a shared pedagogical approach, where the adults are aware of their own role and its significance in relation to the children's development and learning, requires curiosity and reflection. All children must be met by clear adults who have a warm, caring and acknowledging approach, and who are able to see the world from the child's perspective and set aside their own.

Our pedagogical approach is based on the belief that children do well if they can. This includes, among other things, that we adults must be proactive and adjust to the children; it is our responsibility to look inward and adjust our practice and/or approach if that is what is needed.

We expect you to be able and willing to work loyally within our pedagogical practice and contribute to its development. Commitment, professionalism, and good collaboration skills are key words in this context. In addition, we value stability, flexibility and humor as contributions to the work community.

Time for the core task - preparation time High professionalism and pedagogical quality are essential to succeed with the political ambition to create strong communities for all children and young people, and it requires time and space for immersion, reflection and collaboration for the pedagogical staff. In Roskilde Municipality it is politically prioritized that all houses are allocated preparation time.

The preparation time should give staff the opportunity to work more systematically with the core task, and at the same time create better frameworks for professional development, well-being, job satisfaction and strong communities – without compromising children's time and staffing norms.
