About the job

We are seeking a dedicated and relationship-focused educator for a 32-hour-per-week position, with the possibility of full-time.

About the job and the tasks

Tørring School is a public primary school located in the midst of a community in rapid development. The school has about 450 students spread across grades 0-10, including 140 after-school program (SFO) children and 60 staff members. Our focus area is to create sustainable inclusive learning environments, with a special focus on visual guidance and reciprocal, meaningful parent collaboration. “WE DO IT TOGETHER so that students can learn and thrive as much as possible” is our shared starting point for mutual, committed parent involvement. In addition, systemic thinking is a cornerstone of our work.

As our new colleague you will be a central part of the lower primary, where your main focus will be on our current 3rd grade class. You will join a close and dynamic team where we collectively focus on the children’s well-being, learning and social development.

We want an educator with knowledge of bridge-building, which is the important transition between local kindergartens and the school. Here the task will be to create safe and coherent transitions that make the shift from preschool child to school pupil positive for both children and parents.

In our SFO you will be an active part of our SFO. Here you, together with the rest of the SFO team, will set the framework for pedagogical activities that both strengthen each child’s self-esteem and support the large, inclusive children’s community.

Our expectations of you

You are a trained educator and recognise yourself in the following

  • You have experience with or a strong interest in the target group in the early years.
  • You are passionate about bridge-building work and able to create networks and collaborate across institutions.
  • You are imaginative and full of energy when it comes to initiating activities in the SFO that capture the children's interest.
  • You see parental collaboration as an important resource and meet both children, parents and colleagues with acknowledgment and a smile.

Why you should choose us

A school with a strong focus on inclusion from a systemic perspective, with a strong collegial spirit where we support each other professionally. We are a place that prioritizes development, with ambitious and helpful colleagues, and where you have the opportunity to help develop the school.

Salary and terms of employment

Salary and employment according to the applicable collective agreement, with the possibility to negotiate qualification and job-grade pay.

The starting date is December 1, 2026.

Applications will be interviewed on Wednesday, October 28, 2026 from 2:00 PM.

Have questions

You are welcome to contact SFO leader Nynne Flindt at tel. 21 14 36 95 or email [email protected] for clarifying questions or a possible visit to the school.

Application

Application deadline Monday, October 26, 2026.
