We are looking for a present, engaged and professionally well-founded pedagogist for one of our toddler groups in Børnehuset Vita.

Who are we?

Børnehuset Vita is an integrated 0-6 years institution consisting of two toddler groups (28-30 children), two kindergarten groups (42-45 children) and two resource groups (12 children).

Our house is arranged in an older renovated building in three floors (bottom: toddler, middle: kindergarten and top: resource group). This helps create calm and presence as well as the possibility to arrange play and learning environments aimed at development age.

Smaller rooms, thick walls, motor room and long corridors that can be divided allow for arranging play and learning environments with both high and low energy levels as well as spaces for concentration.

We uphold our core task: To create play and learning communities , where all children can participate, thrive and develop .

We have a broad professional diversity in our staff (Educators, assistants, pedagogical assistants, motor skill mentor, language educator, psychomotor therapists), which allows for broad professional sparring and sharing of knowledge.

We work with the principles from ICDP and the Safety Circle in daily life and see active participation in the children's play as the most important framework for development and well-being.

In addition, we are focused on sensorimotor/sensory integration, and this is always included in our professional considerations when working with children's development.

We are part of Daycare West, which consists of nine kindergartens, resource groups, pedagogical guides and a shared daycare manager. At the same time, we have our own pedagogical leader in the house, as we see present leadership as a foundation for safety and professional development.

• We see working with sensorimotor as the entry to all learning and we gladly dive into sensory play and experiences together with the children
• We love sharing our professional knowledge and reflections and therefore welcome students (both pedagogy and psychomotor therapy students) with open arms

We are looking for someone who

• Dares to dive into play and let the imagination run – follow the children's cues
• Values relationship work and can create security and trust in the relationship with both children and parents
• Knows sensorimotor and its importance for development and well-being, and can keep an eye on it throughout the day
• Is curious and reflective in their professional practice and follows up/evaluates on action plans and initiatives
• Welcomes feedback, openness and professional reflections
• Appreciates a work community characterized by high professionalism, flexibility, humor and helpfulness
• Has knowledge of ICDP and the Safety Circle or a desire to train in it
• Is focused on creating dynamic play and learning environments where children can be inspired and develop in small and large child communities
• Is loyal to decisions made by the team and works purposefully and focused accordingly
• Is flexible and adaptable in a sometimes unpredictable daily life
• Works with a mindset of looking at what works and enlarging it – celebrates both small and large successes
• Works to mentalize and has an eye for the context's impact on children's development and expression possibilities
• Has the courage to try using Sign Language (TTT) and visual support in communication with the group of children.
