About the job

Østen for Solen is an age-integrated day care with about 85 infants and preschool children. We have brought together our 0-4-year-olds in four fully age-integrated family rooms, and our oldest children go in a large-group room.

You, as an educator in one of the four age-integrated rooms, will become part of our skilled staff group, who every day ensure that our children thrive and develop. You will work together with one other permanently trained educational staff member and a pedagogical assistant in the room, and you will quickly experience the exciting educational possibilities and experiences that come with working with the 0-4 age group. In the family rooms we have quite a few sibling pairs, which provides a safe and close parent collaboration.

Under the motto 'Østen for solen – we follow the stars' we have a well-defined and tested approach to pedagogy, which is continuously evolving, and which we also invite you to contribute to. You will work with creative expression and play in our homey rooms, on the large green playground and in the local area, including Amager Fælled and Remiseparken.

What we offer

You get a high degree of co-determination and the opportunity to bring your own professional interests into your pedagogical work. We are a staff group that continuously develops through courses, external consultants, cross-house networks and in the cluster regarding language, pedagogy, etc. We also have an annual development day in the cluster where we address various pedagogical themes. We are a mixed staff group in terms of experience, age and gender, and we place high value on professional development and quality. We enjoy getting along well as colleagues.

We have a lovely bright and well-equipped house, and on our large playground there is both forest and chickens. We have a nice workshop with many opportunities for creative expression and a pedagogue employed who particularly works with nature, reuse and sustainability. We are located close to Amager Fælled and the diverse playgrounds of the residents’ associations, where we often walk or cycle there in our electric cargo bikes. We live at Røde Mellemvej 73 in Copenhagen S.

Employment terms

The position is 35-37 hours per week. We expect you to be able to start on January 1, 2027 or as soon as possible thereafter. Our opening hours are Monday-Friday from 07:00 to 17:00. As an employee of the City of Copenhagen you accrue additional time, which gives you an extra week of vacation per year. Salary and terms of employment according to the current collective agreement and within the framework of local pay formation. In connection with the appointment we will obtain a child and criminal record check and take references.
