About the job

Are you passionate about children's well-being, development and communities? Do you want to be part of a day care with high professionalism, strong collegiality and room for both laughter and development? Then you may be our new educator in Hotherdalen.

We are seeking as soon as possible a trained educator for our kindergarten. If you have experience from the daycare sector and perhaps knowledge of Marte Meo, that is an advantage, but most important is your desire to make a difference for the children every day.

Who are we?

In Hotherdalen we meet children and parents with respect, presence and recognition. We have high professional ambitions and work continuously to develop our practice. We expect a lot from ourselves and from each other, but we also know that job satisfaction and humor are important building blocks in a strong collaboration.

We are a house characterized by diversity in age, personalities and experiences, and we see our differences as a strength. Therefore we also seek a colleague who wants to contribute with their own perspectives and competencies to our shared professional development.

We have a particular interest in Marte Meo as an educational tool and are working purposefully to strengthen our competencies within the method.

About the position

Hotherdalen consists of three kindergarten rooms and a nursery. We work with open function rooms, while both children and adults have fixed bases and clear connections.

You will initially be assigned to a fixed kindergarten room, where you, together with your colleague, will be responsible for a group of children's well-being, development and learning. At the same time we expect you to see yourself as part of the whole house and contribute to the community across both kindergarten and nursery.

We offer good opportunities for professional development through sparring, courses and continuing education, and we want a colleague who is willing to take initiative, reflect on their own practice and actively contribute to our continued development – you can e.g. become part of our professional beacons, or whatever else might interest you?

We are looking for an educator who

  • Is engaged, presence-minded and positive in the collaboration with children, parents and colleagues.
  • Wants to create developmental learning environments and strengthen children's play, well-being and development.
  • Is professionally reflective and curious about their own practice.
  • Has an overview and can create structure and security in the children's everyday life.
  • Is stable, flexible and thrives in a daily life where things sometimes move fast.
  • Can collaborate openly and constructively with both colleagues and parents.
  • Wants to be an active team player across the whole house and contribute to our shared culture and professionality.

We offer

  • A workplace with high professionalism and ambitious colleagues.
  • A everyday life with room for both engagement, development and humor.
  • A strong sense of community where we help each other and lift together.
  • Opportunities for professional development, courses and continuing education.
  • A meaningful everyday life where you make a difference for children and families.

If your heart beats for children's well-being and development, and you want to be part of a professionally strong and development-oriented house, we look forward to hearing from you.

Salary and employment in accordance with the applicable collective agreement.
