About the Sesam Indslusningsgruppe

Sesam is the municipality of Ballerup's intake group for about 25 children and their families, all with an ethnic minority background. Children and families are attached to Sesam for a period before they move on to the ordinary day care services.

In addition, Sesam handles the municipality of Ballerup's 30-hour § 11 language provision for multilingual children who do not already attend a day care institution. In Sesam we have extra resources for our tasks, respectively for a particularly early intervention and in our basic staffing.

We are a dedicated and flexible staff group characterized by mutual trust, a high professional level and a desire for development. We view diversity as a resource, inspiration and challenge. In Sesam care, presence and relationships are essential concepts.

The daily work is organized with the didactic method, Themed Dialogic Reading. Each theme work continues for about 2 months. The pedagogical work is based on the individual child and its interests. We are inspired by the Neuroaffective approach. Sesam's task is to achieve the best participation opportunities for both parents and children. This applies to society in general as well as participation in their child's further institutional and school life. We therefore focus on parental involvement and learning.

The district consists of 3 kindergartens as well as the municipal day care. Each kindergarten has its own distinctive character but works from common pedagogical methods, which are continuously evaluated. We experience the district form as a strength. We are a community with about 90 employees and shared management.

Sesam

Sesam today has eight permanent staff and a pedagogical leader. The staff group is diverse in terms of cultural background and language. Two of the staff also serve as bi-cultural consultants for the rest of the municipality's day care services. Sesam has extra wage funds for particularly vulnerable and disadvantaged families. We live together with Børnehuset Globen, with whom we share some of our outdoor and indoor facilities.

Hiring process and salary

The start date is November 1, 2026, or as soon as possible thereafter.

Application deadline: October 30, 2026.

We conduct interviews on an ongoing basis. We offer salary and employment conditions according to the collective agreement for pedagogues in the municipalities.

Employment is carried out according to the principles of local wage formation and after agreement with the negotiating organization.

The salary range for the position is DKK 35,990.97 – 43,193.33 per month excluding pension for full-time employment (37 hours per week).

The final salary is set after negotiation between the employer and the trade organization that has the right to negotiate in the relevant collective agreement area. The salary depends, among other things, on your education, documented seniority and qualifications.
