In Nordbakkens Børnehus we are looking for a pedagogue who is passionate about children aged 0-6 and who wants to help create the best developmental opportunities for all children. We are looking for a colleague who both has the professionalism in place and would like to use it with us – and who thinks it should be both meaningful and enjoyable to go to work.

Who are we?

Nordbakkens Børnehus is a song-certified integrated day institution in the lovely, rural Nordrup, about 10 kilometres from Ringsted town centre.

We have around 45-55 children aged 0-6 and 12 staff members. We are spread across two sites, where the youngest children are in Department 1, and the oldest in Department 2. We are located close to the local school and have a close and good collaboration with it.

With us, professionalism is important. The same goes for presence, well-being, development and good relationships. We work every day to create a daily life where the children can be curious, play, learn, develop and feel safe.

And we also believe that good relationships apply among the adults as well. We want to be a workplace where people help each other, dare to ask questions, dare to wonder, and happily can laugh together.

What will you do?

As a pedagogue you will become an important part of developing our pedagogical practice and ensuring a high professional quality. You will have the opportunity to put your own mark on everyday life and bring both your professional competencies, your personality and your experiences into play.

Since we are song-certified, you should have the desire and the courage to use singing as part of your professional foundation. You do not necessarily need to have the best singing voice; the rest of us keep practicing. Training will take place both with our external partner Sangens Hus and via your colleagues.

You will among other things take on coordinating roles, help lead in the pedagogical practice and have a focus on children in vulnerable positions. You will also be part of the interdisciplinary collaboration and the work with documentation and evaluation. If you are curious about leadership, there may be an opportunity for the right person to get a taste of this.

In short: You will help make what we already do well, even better.

Who are you?

You don’t need to be able to do everything. In fact, we don’t expect that. But we hope you want to learn, develop and share what you are good at.

You meet children and adults in an affirming and respectful way, and you recognize that children are different and therefore have different needs. You have professionalism, initiative and a willingness to contribute – even when you don’t necessarily have all the answers.

You can give sparring to your colleagues, and you dare say: "That was interesting – why do we actually do it that way?" You see opportunities rather than limitations and actively contribute to a good working environment.

You are a team player who takes responsibility for the community, and you should also have a good and infectious mood. We believe that it is easier to create good days for the children when the adults also get along.

And yes – you will naturally be able to write reasonably understandable text and figure out the most basic IT things. The rest we help each other with.
