Then you might be the person we are looking for.

At Sdr. Omme School we are looking for a trained educator for a permanent position of 30 hours per week . You will become an important part of the school day and will work closely with teachers and educators on students' well-being, development and participation in the community.

We are looking for an educator who knows how to work with children . An adult who creates contact and can set a clear and reassuring direction. Someone who sees the individual child and at the same time has an eye for the community around them.

With us, pedagogy must be felt, seen and played with .

Relationships first

We believe that good relationships are a crucial condition for well-being, development and learning.

Therefore we are looking for you who is genuinely curious about the children and what lies behind their actions. You build trust and presence and stand out clearly when direction, structure and overview are needed.

You can step into a classroom and create calm, direction and security – with the relationship as your strongest pedagogical tool .

Play must be part of it

We emphasize a playful approach to the students .

This means that you can use humor, imagination, movement, creativity and curiosity as pedagogical tools – also in the middle of a normal school day.

You spot the possibilities in the situation and can help create energy, participation and engagement. You dare to put yourself in play and use your personality and professional expertise actively in working with the children.

You will have a special role around our school starters

An important part of the position will be the work with our upcoming school starters.

Here you will have the main responsibility for the school-starter group in close collaboration with the SFO manager.

You will thus be one of the adults who give the children their first encounter with the school and help create a safe, playful and good transition from kindergarten to school.

The task includes, among other things, to

• build strong relationships with the children
• build a safe, secure sense of community in the group
• work with the children's participation opportunities
• support their social and personal development
• use play and curiosity as a natural part of everyday life
• help give the children a good and positive start to school life.

It is a role with responsibility, but also with great opportunity to put your own pedagogical mark on it.

During the rest of the school day

You will be part of the pedagogical work around classes, groups and individual students.

Sometimes the task is to support a child who needs a little extra help. Other times it concerns the whole class and creating frames where children can participate, develop and succeed together.

You will become part of the professional collaboration around the children and therefore participate in team meetings and in the school's pedagogical development meetings .
