Educator for SFO Skelgården – help create communities where all children can participate

Do you have an eye for the children – including those who don’t always find their way into play or the community? And would you like to be part of an SFO where present adults, good relationships and the children’s perspectives are an important part of the pedagogical daily life?

Then you might be the one we are looking for at SFO Skelgården.

At SFO Skelgården we work to ensure that all children experience that they have a place in the community. We do this by being close to the children and their relationships and by creating different opportunities for participation in play, activities and friendships.

We don’t believe that all children need the same. Some children thrive in large communities, while others need a smaller group, an adult close by or a break before they are ready to participate again. Therefore you must be curious about the individual child and at the same time have an eye for the community the child is a part of.

It will become part of your daily life

In the SFO you will help create a varied leisure life with room for movement, creativity, play and social communities. You must be able to initiate activities, but also be close to the play and the communities the children themselves create.

As an educator with us you work both in school and SFO. You will be attached to a class and a year-group team as well as participate in the collaboration with teachers and pedagogues about the children’s overall day.

The children’s voices matter for our everyday life. We follow their interests and initiatives and work to ensure they experience real influence over their leisure time.

Therefore you must be able to come up with a good idea together with the children – and discover the good idea they are already pursuing themselves.

School, SFO and home are connected

Children have one everyday life, even though it takes place in different places. Therefore we work across school and SFO and participate in team collaboration around the children.

We also work closely with the parents. The daily dialogue is important, and we participate in school-home conversations, parent meetings and the collaboration around the individual child’s and class’s well-being.

We are looking for you who

• are a trained pedagogue and want to work in both school and SFO
• are present and clear and can create safe relationships with the children
• have an eye for children’s different prerequisites and can help children find their way into play and communities
• are curious about the children’s perspectives and can transform them into pedagogical practice
• can collaborate with colleagues and parents and at the same time bring your own professional expertise, your interests and ideas into play.

When a child has difficulty finding their place, we are curious about the child, the relationships and the community the child is trying to become part of. We hope you have that perspective too – or want to develop it together with us.

Salary and employment terms

The position is 33 hours with start 1 December 2026.

Employment is in accordance with the applicable agreement with BUPL after negotiation.

The municipality’s employment policy entails that references from previous and current workplaces are collected upon hire. If you have been employed by Tårnby Municipality, a reference from here will always be obtained. In addition, a criminal record certificate and a child certificate must be presented upon hire. The employment will be conditional on these being satisfactory.
