Educator for the Skansebakken Development Center

Do you want to be a pedagogue in a place where presence, professionalism and development go hand in hand?

Skansebakken is seeking a motivated and professionally strong pedagogue for 34-37 hours, who will help create an active, meaningful and developmental life for people with extensive functional impairments.

Skansebakken is home to 45 residents with significant physical and psychological functional impairments. As a pedagogue you will come close to the residents and take a central role in their daily lives. You will work with relationships, communication, well-being, development and self-determination, while actively participating in daily care and nursing.

With us, we believe that the small details make the big difference. Therefore, your observations of residents’ well-being, communication, health and behavior are crucial for us to adapt our efforts and create the best possible opportunities for each individual.

You will become part of a highly specialized and interdisciplinary environment with, among others, pedagogues, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, social- and health assistants, care assistants, nutritionist and a nurse. We prioritize competence development and work, among other things, with KRAP, LA2, ASK, neuropedagogy, sensory stimuli and F.O.T.T.

We are also known for creating an active everyday life. Outdoor activities, movement, community and experiences are a natural part of our pedagogical approach, whether it takes place at the beach, at the harbor, around the fire or through activities on the premises.

Your tasks

• Create safe and trusting relationships with residents
• Support residents’ well-being, development and self-determination
• Contribute to structure, predictability and an active everyday life
• Participate in daily care and nursing, including personal hygiene, meals and transfers
• Collaborate with relatives, colleagues and other professionals

We are looking for a colleague who

• Is educated as a pedagogue
• Is passionate about working with people with developmental disabilities
• Can translate professional knowledge into practice and build strong relationships
• Works independently and at the same time values collaboration
• Communicates clearly and professionally
• Has experience with or a desire to learn documentation in KMD Nexus

Working hours are primarily day and evening shifts and every other weekend.

Terms of employment

Employment is offered according to the collective agreement for social pedagogues and pedagogical staff at residential institutions, etc., §5-7. The expected start salary for full-time, excluding pension, is DKK 32,863 / within the range DKK 32,863 – 37,424.

The final placement, including collective agreement basis and salary level, is determined based on education, experience and qualifications as well as the specific offered position.
