The special Daycare Eventyrhuset opened its doors in August 2026, and we are now ready to open our third unit. Therefore we are seeking more engaged educators, who either have special education experience or wish to become part of a special education environment, with strong relational skills and high ambitions for good child and family life.

ABOUT EVENTYRHUSET

The special Daycare Eventyrhuset opened its doors in August 2026 and is normed for up to 24 children spread over four rooms.

Eventyrhuset is organized under the Child Welfare Act §§ 82 and 83 and uses special education approaches and methods, while we are inspired by the strengthened pedagogical curriculum under the Daycare Act.

Eventyrhuset sits next to a mainstream integrated daycare facility, with whom we cooperate closely, as we believe that both general and special education work benefit all children's development.

The children are 0-6 years old and have significant and lasting physical or mental disabilities. The target group is mixed, but the majority of children will have a diagnosis or behavior within the autism spectrum (ASD) or ADHD.

The pedagogical and therapeutic collaboration is aimed at developing each child's resources and developmental potential through the experience of a meaningful and content-rich everyday life with other children. There is close interprofessional collaboration with a psychologist, occupational and physiotherapist, and speech therapist, as well as close cooperation with the Children and Family Department.

The work with the children is rooted in systemic thinking, based on an appreciative approach and always keeping an eye on central parental involvement.

ABOUT THE JOB

We are seeking engaged and skilled educators, preferably with special education experience, for positions of 34-37 hours with us in the Municipality of Rødovre.

We will together create an educational team that starts from the children's zone of proximal development and works relation- and resource-oriented.

The daily pedagogical routine is tailored to children with special needs and includes a wide range of pedagogical methods such as total communication, PECS, sensory integration and sensory-motor development.

This means you will have ample opportunity to put your professional skills to use and at the same time develop new skills within special pedagogy.

Your tasks will include

• To plan and carry out special education programs based on the child's resources and needs.
• To work systematically with documentation and targets for the intervention.
• To create secure relationships and a daily life characterized by clarity and calm.
• To bring your ideas and your professional expertise into play in a team where there is room to be curious and learn from each other.

SALARY AND EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS

Salary and employment terms are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement and agreed with the negotiating organization.

The positions are to be filled on January 1, 2027.
