About the job

Are you a social educator and do you burn to make a difference for people with developmental disabilities and complex support needs? Then you are the one we are looking for to our professional community at Kærvang.

About Kærvang

Kærvang is a social-educational residential facility under Norddjurs Municipality, located in Ørsted's picturesque surroundings – only 20 km from Randers, 35 km from Grenaa and 40 km from Aarhus. Here live adult citizens with significant and lasting reduced physical and/or mental function. The citizen group is broadly composed and contains great diversity in both support needs and life situations.

Common for the citizens is that they have a developmental disability, often combined with other diagnoses such as autism, behavioral and attachment disorders or psychiatric issues. This places demands on both professionalism, structure and relationship work – and it is precisely here, we as employees make a difference.

We work from a neuro-pedagogical approach and use methods such as LA2 in our daily practice. This means that we create a structured, recognizable and predictable everyday life for the citizens, where we work systematically with goals and sub-goals, and where documentation is an important part of the effort.

Your tasks will include

  • To support the citizens in daily tasks and create structure in everyday life
  • To contribute to holistic care and personal care with basis in the citizen's resources and needs.
  • To plan and carry out pedagogical interventions
  • To join the contact team and ensure continuity in the professional effort
  • To document and evaluate goals and sub-goals in collaboration with the citizen and the team
  • To participate in collaboration with relatives and external partners

We are looking for you who

  • Is educated as a social educator
  • Has a positive and appreciative view of people
  • Is professionally reflective and can argue for your pedagogical choices
  • Is patient and thrives on following the citizen's pace
  • Is loyal, collaborative and contributes to a good work environment
  • Has a driver's license (category B)
  • Familiarity with NEXUS, LA2(U) and neuro-pedagogy is an advantage.

We offer you

With us you become part of an exciting and meaningful workplace where collaboration, professionalism and well-being go hand in hand. You will experience a daily life with great variation in tasks, and the opportunity to bring your professional competencies into play. You join a colleague group where we value each other's competences, share knowledge and prioritize a work environment with room for both professional sparring and collegial support.

We have a good working environment, where there is room for both professional reflection and humor. You will receive a thorough introduction to both the place and the professional field. Together we work to create the best frame for citizens' well-being and development – and so that you as an employee feel valued and motivated.
