Educator sought for one of Bækkebo's residential units

Bækkebo is a self-governing nonprofit foundation in Haverslev, Rebild, about 35 km from Aalborg, Viborg and Randers. We have three residential departments with 17 residents as well as workshops with employment and social interaction – also for external participants.

The target group is adults with autism, often with additional diagnoses such as intellectual developmental disorder, language difficulties or physical disabilities.

As an educational staff member you support the residents' psychological well-being in social interaction and conversations and in the various practical tasks in the residents' daily life, including cleaning. The tasks may also include accompanying the residents to various activities, just as support for personal care can also be a task.

Bækkebo has these expectations of you as a colleague

· You have a relevant education, e.g. as a pedagogue, social and health assistant or occupational therapist. Experience from the field is an advantage.

· You can work at varying times year-round, including weekend and on-call shifts (sleeping night shift).

· You are interested in autism and want to develop professionally.

· You collaborate well, work independently, and maintain calm and professionalism also in pressured situations.

· You contribute positively to the residents' well-being and development as well as to a good working environment.
