Educational middle manager for SFO Kastanien

We are seeking a pedagogue with experience and a desire to try the role of middle manager in SFO. The position consists of management tasks in combination with practical pedagogical work in school and SFO. In working as both classroom pedagogue and middle manager you will have ample opportunity to influence the pedagogical development in SFO – especially in collaboration with pedagogues, teachers and the head of primary school.

SFO Kastanien is Karlslunde School's after-school care offering in Karlslunde village. There are about 150 children enrolled in SFO, and we have many active parents who both support and set expectations for what an SFO should be able to do. SFO works to create a fun and developmental leisure. We work every day to create safe, developmental and inclusive frameworks for the children and for the adults around them. You will become part of a team where collaboration, openness and respect are as important as professionalism, curiosity and room for a smile in everyday life.

As a middle manager at SFO Kastanien you play a major role in both daily practice and in the development of the SFO . You align with Greve Municipality's Target and Content Description for SFO and Karlslunde School's values of Professionalism, Differences and Community . You are involved in ensuring quality, coherence and a good direction in daily life. You are passionate that SFO becomes an important part of Karlslunde School's overall school offering to children in 0-3 grade.

You are not alone with the leadership task – you become a part of the school’s leadership team and thus have ample opportunity for sparring. In daily work we expect that you

• take the children seriously, but not literally and thus help translate children’s behavior into pedagogical practice – what do the children call out and how do the adults create the frameworks?
• actively participate in the pedagogues' joint planning time , where you have an eye for the annual cycle, next week, major events, etc.
• help plan, coordinate and follow up on the daily operation in collaboration with the head of primary school . This includes the daily 11:30 meeting, distribution of pedagogues to today’s activities, staffing needs and overall scheduling.
• be a sparring partner in the development of pedagogical practice and learning environments.
• actively support good collaboration in a small team and help manage practical and professional challenges
• participate in meetings, sparring and professional forums where you help set direction and create coherence.

The fine print

• 37 hours per week. Holidays in week 42 or week 8, primary working hours are flexibly placed in the time window 08.00 – 17.00
• Employment according to the applicable collective agreement with salary and terms of employment in line with relevant agreements
• Possibility for professional development through courses, sparring and possibly leadership education
