We are seeking a pedagogical assistant for a fixed-term position of 30 hours per week from December 1, 2026 to October 6, 2027.

About the position

The position is distributed with approximately one-third in the school and two-thirds in the SFO. In the school part you will collaborate with the teachers around the pupils to create good conditions for the children’s well-being, development, learning and participation. There are also two lessons in the school with our 12 pupils in grade 0, where you will conduct the teaching alone.

In the SFO you will become part of a team of three staff members who every day work to create safe and coherent everyday lives for the children. Here the children meet with structured frameworks and ongoing exciting activities that you have helped plan. There is also room to seize spontaneous opportunities that arise in daily life, and great emphasis is placed on being present adults in relation to the children.

The working hours include 1-2 opening shifts from 6:00 in the morning, and otherwise SFO in the afternoons. The days are planned continuously, so there will be no split shifts. A weekday with few adults also calls for flexibility in working hours.

In the SFO we are looking for an adult who wants to be active and participating together with the children and to set various activities in motion. This can, for example, be movement and outdoor play, but also other activities based on your interests and competences. We have good opportunities both indoors and outdoors, including the school gym hall as well as the school’s and the local area’s outdoor spaces.

About Stensnæsskolen

Stensnæsskolen is a smaller department within Sydskolen with 68 pupils from 0st to 6th grade. We co-teach by year groups, which creates close communities and a close knowledge of the children across the school. In the SFO there are 49 children. SFO1 for children from 0-3 grade and SFO2 for children from 4-6 grade. This provides opportunities to create activities and communities that take into account the children’s different ages, interests and needs.

About Sydskolen

Sydskolen consists of three departments

• Sæby Skole, Brolæggervej 1 with pupils from 0-4 grade.
• Stensnæsskolen, Østkystvejen 314 with pupils from 0-6 grade.
• Sæbygårdskolen, Sæbygårdvej 34 with pupils from 5-9 grade and special offerings.

We work across departments based on a shared view of children and a common goal to create strong communities and developing learning environments for all children.
