We are seeking an appreciative pedagogical assistant for a position in our dear institution in the heart of Trøjborg.

Your profile

We are seeking a pedagogical assistant for our kindergarten group. The task as a pedagogical assistant in Skuden is that you, together with the remaining staff, shall create the best conditions for development and well-being for the children in our institution. There will be tasks with larger groups of children and in smaller groups. Therefore you must be prepared to lead a group of children on your own.

The position requires a naturally calm mind, decisiveness, an appreciative approach, clarity and organizing skills. You will join a close-knit team where cooperation, collegiality, and reflection are highly valued.

Skuden Skram is an integrated institution located in Trøjborg, currently with 29 kindergarten children and 22 infants, who spend time in both age groups. In a typical week with us you are in the forest, experience the city’s cultural offerings, in the studio, on the playground and engaged in indoor play.

We place great emphasis on creating a predictable, recognizable, developmental, fun, and structured everyday life for the children. A day where everyone feels like a valuable member of the community.

You can imagine yourself being in the forest, building sandcastles in the sandbox, singing, reflecting - but also being positive, appreciative, adaptable, responsible, clearly setting boundaries and present.

We work with Marte Meo principles as a basis for practice, evaluation and reflection.

Moreover you will work in a team where you take joint responsibility for the good working environment, the children's life and where the community, recognition and dialogue are an important driver. This applies to both children, parents and your colleagues.

Skuden Skram is a functionally organized institution with space for 22 infants and 30 kindergarten children. The building is spacious, winding and non-traditionally laid out. There are large bright rooms, as well as cozy corners and nooks. We are very conscious of how the physical environment is used as a pedagogical partner in daily life.

The forest and the beach are close by, and are frequent excursion destinations.

We place a high priority on outdoor life, and the playground is used every day. Skuden Skram is among other things known for the option of a full meals arrangement, and we work from the belief that the meal is an important learning environment for the child. The nursery and the kindergarten have a binding collaboration, so we create a whole and a predictable transition for the children. We continually work to create the framework for a pedagogical practice that ensures all children become as capable as they can and where play plays a major role.

Salary and employment terms

Salary and employment terms will be in accordance with the applicable collective agreement. Final salary determination takes place after negotiations with the bargaining-authorized trade organization based on qualifications, unless the position is covered by a pre-agreement that can form the basis for the salary determination
