Are you between 15 and 17 years old, and can you see yourself creating presence and joy for others? Then you now have the chance to obtain an exciting and meaningful part-time leisure job at a nursing home.

Join a unique community where you can make a difference in the everyday life of our elderly residents. – we already have two others employed in part-time jobs.

Skovbrynet Nursing Home is located in Gistrup and has 45 apartments. Our house is arranged with three living units for somatic residents and two living units for residents with various forms of dementia. Skovbrynet is a house with high ceilings; we make space for differences. We have a close collaboration with the local community in the form of the church, daycare, kindergarten, and volunteers who all help bring activities into our house.

About you

Residents look forward to you coming to work, so it is important that you are reliable and able to attend regularly. You enjoy talking with other people, are curious and good at listening. You have a good sense of humor and a positive mood, which is a good entry to the residents at the nursing home.

About the job and your tasks

The job is approximately 4-8 hours per week on weekdays between 16:00 and 20:00. Additional work can be agreed on weekends or in connection with holidays.

You will receive a good introduction to the job and be assigned a mentor from the regular staff at the nursing home. On your first day, you will be briefed about the rules, framework and terms of your part-time job.

Examples of tasks

• Walking with residents and other outdoor activities
• Watching films or listening to music with residents
• Playing games with one or more residents
• Playing music and/or singing with the residents
• Reading aloud for the residents
• iPad activities with the residents
• Unloading the dishwasher
• Setting the table
• Folding laundry – preferably together with the residents

You can also contribute your own ideas for activities with the residents.

You agree your concrete tasks with the nursing home manager and your mentor at the workplace

You are employed as hourly paid under the applicable collective agreement

You are bound by confidentiality.

The employment can only be entered into until you turn 18.

Salary and terms of employment

According to the current agreement for young people under 18 in induction employment in municipalities (73.02) as agreed between KL and the FOA union.

Prior to final employment, a criminal record check must be provided.
