Part-time, temporarily employed parish priest under a collective agreement at Hvidovre Hospital, Diocese of Helsingør

The position as contractually employed parish priest at Hvidovre Hospital is available for occupancy from 1 January 2027. The position is temporary in nature, as it follows the function of Chief Hospital Chaplain, as long as the position of Chief Hospital Chaplain in the Capital Region is occupied by the current holder of the position.

The position is a part-time role of 18.5 hours per week. The employment rate is fixed at 50% of full-time employment.

Hvidovre Hospital has many different specialties, including the Department of Cardiology, the Department of Infectious Medicine, gastroenterology and a gynecology-obstetrics department.

As a priest at Hvidovre Hospital it is important to be available and flexible. The main function is pastoral care conversations with patients and relatives, and likewise to be available to the hospital staff with conversations and education. Hvidovre Hospital has a beautiful church, Maria Magdalene Church, where services, prayers and religious acts take place.

There is a total of 1.9 parish priest positions attached to the hospital, distributed across 3 employments: One at 95%, one in combination of 45% hospital chaplain and 50% chief hospital chaplain for Region H, and one as 50% hospital chaplain.

The hospital is also served outside ordinary hours, which is distributed equally among the hospital's priests.

Salary and terms of employment are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement.

Employment and pay are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement for academics in the state with the accompanying protocol.

In addition to the base salary, there is a standby allowance with a rounded base amount as of 31 March 2012 for a full-time position of DKK 43,000.00 per year. For part-time employment the allowance will be calculated in relation to the employment quota.

You will also receive a special allowance with a rounded base amount as of 31 March 2012 of DKK 11,100.00 per year for a full-time position. For part-time employment the allowance will be calculated in relation to the employment quota.

Remuneration will be at 50% of the salary according to the collective agreement.

The position is covered by the New Pay rules, therefore it is possible to request a pay review.

There is no service housing attached to the position.
