Pedagogical advisor: Do you want to support and strengthen the highly specialized pedagogical efforts at Geelsgårdskolen?

A meaningful job

You will become part of a large advisory team consisting of pedagogical advisors, didactic advisors, speech therapists, psychologists, and more. Together with our other pedagogical advisor it will be your task to create spaces where staff can develop their professional expertise.

As a pedagogical advisor

You and our current pedagogical advisor will each be responsible for two school divisions (Spor). The distribution will be decided jointly based on the competencies you bring – but you will also have cross-school tasks.

Your task will be to support the pedagogical effort, for example in the form of guidance meetings, interdisciplinary meetings about the children, observations of the students' daily life and ongoing sparring.

We work from a resource-oriented approach, where we start from the students' perspectives on the world and look into the underlying causes of behavior.

Your tasks include, among others

• Guidance within special education, disability understanding, SVS, conflict management, low arousal and other relevant pedagogical approaches
• Identification/assessment of students' behavior and relevant guidance for staff
• To support the use of action plans developed based on registrations
• Contribute reflections on pedagogical initiatives at interdisciplinary meetings
• Give presentations and courses for both small and larger staff groups
• Actively contribute to our VISO team.

To be able to give the best possible guidance it is essential that you actively bring yourself close to the students' everyday life. In this way the staff experience that there is a short path to sparring, while you enjoy following the children and their development throughout their school years.

The interdisciplinary community is our lever

High specialization, professional curiosity and a unique professional community are core values in the team, as we work with some of the region's most challenged children and young people with multiple and complex functional impairments. This requires us to throw cassette thinking out the door and combine different approaches and methods across disciplines.

You will work closely with our other pedagogical advisor, but also in cross-disciplinary teams around individual students and in parent collaboration. In addition, collaborate with the heads of departments for the tracks you are attached to, and with management in developing projects at the school.

Your ability and willingness to collaborate is therefore essential.

• is trained as a pedagog, cand.pæd.pæd. or similar
• has high professional expertise and solid practical experience in the special education field
• wants to work with children with high complexity
• is a competent advisor who can navigate many different advisory positions, as you will guide colleagues etc. with widely different competencies and levels of experience
• is curious and listens to what colleagues need
• is patient – development in our students can take a long time.

Salary and terms of employment in accordance with the agreement between the Danish Teachers' Central Organisation and the Regional Salary and Tariff Board for teachers, etc. in special education for children and adults and the principles of New Pay. In addition to the salary under the agreement we have local agreements.
