About Hjortholm

Our physical premises are three older villas, surrounded by fantastic gardens/playgrounds. Here there are plenty of nooks and opportunities for immersion both outside and inside.

The available position is with the oldest kindergarten children. They have their own villa, with a lovely playground under the canopy of trees, a “football pitch”, a fire pit and much more.

What can Hjortholm offer professionally?

At Hjortholm we have small communities for the children in the three villas, but a large professional community for the staff. We are 20 pedagogical staff of which about half are trained educators.

Room meetings and staff meetings are held about once a month. All meetings are well prepared and with relevant professional content.

As with all other institutions we also have children who periodically have particular challenges. We are usually good at helping children and families forward, via cross-disciplinary collaboration, but also by the management team being close and offering help and sparring, so you as classroom staff do not feel you are alone with the task.

We are part of a binding network in Lyngby-Taarbæk Municipality. This means that together with other institutions we develop our work with among other things pedagogy, language, nature and students.

In Lyngby-Taarbæk Municipality we share a commitment to developing quality so that all children can thrive and develop in good child communities. Therefore there are continuously offered courses and theme days for staff. We have our own Quality Guide, which we use as a basis when we discuss pedagogical topics. Collegially we are a staff group where educators and assistants collaborate well across rooms and groups. We have a good pool of substitutes, where many of our substitutes are students who previously have been assistants at Hjortholm.

We place emphasis on having good schedule planning, so holidays and days off as a rule can be arranged, and that there is always sensible staffing in all groups.

Our expectations of you

We would really like to hire someone who is an experienced assistant, or has experience working with children e.g. through voluntary work. To ensure continuity for the children, we emphasize employment of at least 1.5-2 years.

We expect that after an introduction you can lead a part of the children's group and create a safe and recognizable structure for the group. We expect that you contribute to the ongoing development of quality, in cooperation with your colleagues.

The position is 37 hours, but we understand that you may have other wishes regarding hours.
