Pedagogical assistant for students for the February 2027 cohort

Guldborgsund Kommune is looking for Pedagogical Assistant students for the February 27 cohort. Do you want to work with children, youths or adults in a pedagogical environment? Then you should apply to become one of our new Pedagogical Assistant students starting on 01 February 2027.

Pedagogical Assistant education

The Pedagogical Assistant Education qualifies you for pedagogical work with children and young people, as well as citizens with physical and mental disabilities.

The education lasts about 2 years and 2 months and alternates between roughly equal parts of school and on-the-job training. The school programs are at the SOSU school in Nykøbing F. You will also undergo on-the-job training at 2 different training sites in Guldborgsund Municipality during your education.

1st on-the-job training is in a day care facility in one of our nurseries, kindergartens or in one of our SFOs.

2nd on-the-job training is in the special sector in one of our specialized offers for citizens with physical and mental disabilities.

During the training you will learn how you can help support children and the citizens in our specialized offers in their well-being, learning and development.

At the SOSU school you will receive instruction in, among other things, pedagogy and psychology, in society and health, and in being together in a good and developing way. You also learn about the importance of diet and exercise, and how to work with conflict management.

In the on-the-job training you will learn and apply your professional theoretical knowledge in practice with the target group. Here you will try out some of the activities and methods you have learned at school. Throughout the on-the-job training you will receive guidance from an on-the-job supervisor. When you return to the school after a training period, you will work on applying your knowledge and experience in the classroom.

• That you have completed or are in the process of completing Grundforløb 2 for Pedagogical Assistant at a SOSU school.
• That you take the education seriously, are reliable, engaged and actively contribute, both during school and during the training periods.

Salary and Employment Terms

You will be employed for 37 hours per week. You will receive apprentice wages throughout the education according to the current collective agreement for Pedagogical Assistant students as of 01-04-2026 13,552.45 per month.

Application deadline and interviews

The application deadline is 28 October 2026. We place emphasis on a motivated application, where you explain why you would like to be a Pedagogical Assistant student. When applying, you should attach documentation showing that you have completed Grundforløb 2 for Pedagogical Assistant at a SOSU school.

The best qualified applicants will be invited to an interview on Thursday 5 November 2026 and on Friday 04-11-2026.
