Pedagogical Assistants for the School by Nordens Plads as soon as possible and no later than 1.12.2026

The School by Nordens Plads is a holistic offering with about 215 children and young people

and 160 employees. We have children at an early stage of development, children with challenges within autism spectrum disorders, as well as children with general learning difficulties.

Your task will be, in a committed interdisciplinary collaboration, to ensure that the students are able to unfold their potential for personal, academic and social development. With curiosity and ambition you meet the children where they are.

At the School by Nordens Plads we are anchored in the belief that children do well when they can. We work with the starting point of Low Arousal, Mentalization and visualised, structured pedagogy.

We expect

• That you have prior experience from assistant positions and preferably within the special needs area
• that you are calm and have a mentalizing approach to yourself, students and colleagues
• that you are prepared to work in a team with teachers, pedagogues and other pedagogical assistants, where equality in collaboration is a key concept
• that you can involve the students so that meaning is created and support the students’ independence and belief in themselves
• that you have an eye for seeing and developing the students’ talents

Working hours for all staff are between 7:00 and 17:00.

Work is conducted in teams and the staff are co-leaders primarily in the core team, but also in professional and pedagogical groupings. In addition, the school has advisors employed who advise and upskill our staff and all collaborate closely with Educational Psychological Counseling.
