We are seeking an engaged and present pedagogical leader for Børnehuset Kirstinevang, where we have a strong focus on professionalism, well-being and good communities. You do not need many years of leadership experience. The most important is that you have an eye for people and pedagogical quality, dare to step into the leadership role and are keen to learn and develop yourself as a leader.

Kirstinevang is a house with high professionalism and engaged staff who every day work to create a safe, developing and meaningful everyday life for the children. We are part of a district with great diversity and variety, which gives us many different perspectives, experiences and opportunities to develop our practice.

As a leader you must be able to create direction while being close to everyday life. You must be able to work structurally, communicate clearly and be curious about others’ perspectives. You must be able to collaborate and act as an active team player both with the staff in the house and with your leadership colleagues in the district.

• Are passionate about the 0-6-year-old area and the pedagogical work
• Want to work with staff leadership, children and parent collaboration
• Have the courage to take responsibility and make decisions
• Are good at building relationships and communicating clearly
• Work in a structured way and can maintain an overview in a busy daily life
• Want to develop yourself as a leader whether you already have leadership experience or are curious to take your first step into leadership.

The position is 37 hours and starts on 1 November 2026 or as soon as possible.

Your key tasks

• Staff leadership
• You work in a politically governed organization and are able to translate political decisions so that they have impact in the kindergarten
• You lead the pedagogical tasks, and you are thus also to be found where the pedagogy unfolds
• You must have courage and willingness to engage in the leadership tasks that may exist in a district with seven kindergartens.

Your competences

• You have a solid pedagogical foundation and are focused on children, professionalism and development
• You have a desire for staff leadership and for creating good frames for employees to succeed in their tasks
• You can build relationships and communicate clearly even when it is difficult
• You are curious about others’ perspectives and dare to set direction and make decisions
• You have an eye for the pedagogical practice and a wish to be close to it together with the staff
• You do not need to know everything from day one. The important thing is that you have the courage for the leadership task, are open to sparring and want to develop yourself as a leader.

Who are we

District Baltorp is a large district with seven kindergartens hosting children aged 0-5 years.

The district holds joint events such as training days, competence development and theme evenings as well as events where children are involved.

Our children and parent group reflects the area we live in with diversity as the largest common denominator. We value parental collaboration and see parents as important partners. We also value collaboration with our cross-disciplinary partners in PPR.

About our pedagogical approach

We believe that children develop and thrive in good relationships and strong communities. Therefore we are focused on present adults who are curious about the children's perspectives and who create the framework where all children get the opportunity to be a meaningful part of the community.

We work for a daily life with space for play, curiosity, learning and development and with a fundamental belief that children do their best when the surroundings make it possible.

Project ”Together for Children”

Under the title ”Together for Children” the district has gone through a long project period focused on creating good participation opportunities for all children and on close collaboration between children, parents and professionals.

Employment process and salary

The start date is 1 November 2026 or by agreement.

We hold interviews as applications come in.

The position is a full-time role with no upper limit on working hours.

We offer salary and terms of employment according to the agreement for pedagogical leaders – leader agreement in municipalities and in accordance with principles of local pay formation and in agreement with the negotiating organization.

The salary range for the position is 49,692 DKK per month (37 hours)

The salary depends on negotiations between the leader and the professional organization that has the right to negotiate for the applicable agreement. The salary composition depends on your education, documented seniority and qualifications.
