Pedagogical leader for the infant department at Børnehuset Lundegården in the Skovvejens District

Dream of being head of a toddler group department in a unique Children's House with high pedagogical quality in a surroundings with nature and cultural opportunities. We have an exciting position in a Children's House with a strong pedagogical emphasis. In daily life there is a focus on presence and immersion as well as a good atmosphere, where children and staff thrive.

At Lundegården you can, together with a leadership colleague, exercise professional, presence-based and appreciative leadership close to the staff group. Ballerup Municipality prioritises the child area and that the pedagogues have time for preparation. You do not stand alone with the management task, but can get sparring and support in your leadership team and the district manager.

Your main tasks

• You oversee pedagogical- and personnel leadership of 14 staff
• You contribute to the development of quality close to the pedagogical practice with a focus on well-being, development and participation opportunities for all children
• You collaborate with staff, parents and the other pedagogical leader and set the direction for the Children’s House's pedagogical work based on the pedagogical curriculum and the excellent KIDS results
• You create well-being in an engaged staff group that values good collaboration and high social capital
• You support meaningful documentation in an evaluation culture characterized by feedback and instructive reflection processes.

Your competencies

• You are pedagogue qualified with a solid professional foundation, enabling you to lead reflection- and change processes in the pedagogical work
• You have an appreciative leadership style and are inclusive, participative and delegating
• You are a clear and decisive leader, good at making decisions and involving different perspectives
• You have good communication skills both written and spoken, and the dialogue is characterized by respect, reflection and curiosity
• You inspire trust and invite sparring in the further development of optimal dynamic learning environments
• You have a good organizational overview.

About Børnehuset Lundegården

The Children’s House has an agreed capacity of 42 toddlers distributed across 4 rooms and 72 kindergarten children, who are distributed in two houses lying side by side.

We are a well-functioning Children’s House with a unique location close to the forest and many nature experiences. The Children’s House has a versatile profile, where movement, singing and music, as well as nature and creativity are expressed. The Children’s House has many exciting learning rooms that support the versatile profile with many opportunities for activity. The playground is designed with exciting creative play- and learning environments. The staff is broadly composed in gender and age.

District Skovvejen is located in a lovely natural area close to the forest and the riding school. Also close to Ballerup town with a lovely library.

We have networks for nature, culture, language and practical guidance and an annual joint professional development day. In our district there are long-standing traditions of working across departments on larger activities such as the start of school for children, Samba parade, Potato Race, Medieval project and more.

Hiring process and salary

The starting date is as soon as possible.

The position is, as a rule, 37 hours and is a permanent position.

Application deadline: 22 October 2026.

We offer salary and employment conditions according to the collective agreement for pedagogical leaders in municipalities.

Employment is based on principles of local wage formation and in agreement with the bargaining organization.

The salary range for the position is 49,951.95 DKK per month excluding pension for full-time employment (37 hours per week).

The final salary is set after negotiations between the employer and the trade organization with the right to negotiate on the relevant collective agreement area. The salary depends, among other things, on your education, documented seniority and qualifications.
