Pedagogical on-call substitute sought for Møllehuset ApS in Høng

Møllehuset ApS is a private respite care service in Høng for children and young people aged 4–18, including ADHD, autism, attachment disorders and general learning difficulties. We are seeking a committed and professionally strong on-call substitute who is passionate about making a difference and who thrives in an environment characterized by presence, high professional standards and clear routines.

Our everyday life is built around a homely and safe environment, where the demands are adapted to the individual so that the children and young people experience successes rather than setbacks.

As a substitute with us you will be an integral part of the work with children and young people. You should be able to see yourself in and actively live out our pedagogical foundation:

• Low Arousal as an overarching approach and method: You meet the children with a calm and soothing demeanor. You understand how to calibrate and adapt pedagogical demands to minimize stress, prevent conflicts and support the children’s own self-regulation.
• Structure pedagogy and predictability: You work with visual aids (pictograms, etc.), clear routines and clear, predictable frameworks that create security and breathing space for the children in their daily lives.
• Acknowledging pedagogy: You show empathy, respect and a deep understanding of the children’s and youths’ individual starting points. You use positive reinforcement and acknowledge the small progress that strengthens their self-esteem and self-confidence.

We are looking for someone who

• Has an educational or social-science background (e.g., pedagogue, pedagogical assistant or experience from the special needs field/respite care).
• Can recognise yourself in our pedagogical approach and is able to translate Low Arousal and structure pedagogy into practical actions in everyday life.
• Possesses a natural calm and a great pedagogical surplus – especially in situations where the children become stressed or challenged.
• Is professionally reflective, curious and willing to work loyally according to the house’s common pedagogical lines.
• Is flexible, responsible and stable with regard to stepping in during illness, holidays or peak periods.

About the position

The position is primarily as an on-call substitute, with the possibility of shifts due to illness, holidays, weekends as well as afternoon, evening and 24-hour on-call duties. There will also be an opportunity for fixed weekend shifts.
