About the job

Pedagogue positions (temporary) at Specialkompetence Holstebro, Storå and Vingehøj departments

Are you a trained pedagogue, and do you want to focus on the specialized area and at the same time become part of a well-functioning school and after-school program (SFO), where specialized pedagogical knowledge is in the forefront?

Are you naturally curious to solve our core task of making our students capable of life – academically, socially and personally – and to use the right paths through a relationally competent practice, then we have a school where collaboration and an appreciative approach are at the forefront.

2 vacant pedagogue positions (temporary)

  • Maternity leave cover for the lower primary grades 0-3 and SFO Storå department
  • Time-limited temporary position (event-driven/longer-term) for Vingehøj X department and SFO

You will have hours in both the school and SFO during school weeks and school holidays. There will be opening and closing shifts in SFO

Focus on structure and predictability

We value your ability to empathize, and you are skilled at translating and conveying ideas into everyday life. You are able to structure the day based on the students’ needs and levels.

We seek pedagogues with high professional competence, special education interest and/or knowledge. Additionally, we value experience with activities and learning in a special education context.

We expect you to join an organizational community and will…

  • attend with good humor and wish to participate and contribute to a good collegial community
  • take on the responsibility that the relationship succeeds – both adult-child and child-child relationships.
  • take responsibility that the student’s day is planned so that it is structured, predictable and clear, maximizing the student’s opportunities to participate.
  • participate in close collaboration with the parents
  • act in an environment where daily life for the adult can be unpredictable and variable.
  • wish to collaborate across disciplines both internally with the school’s other professional groups including teachers, counselors and therapists as well as externally, where among others Families Section, PPR and UU are our good partners

Everyday life at Storå

The students at Storå and Vingehøj X have general, specific or pervasive developmental disorders.

The students are divided into classes considering functional level, physical and mental age, social and communicative levels, etc.

To a lesser extent are the actual grade level taken into account.

The everyday life for students at Storå department is organized with content in accordance with the Folkeskole Act.

Common to the students is that they have learning difficulties and many of the students have issues within the autism spectrum.

Thus daily life is characterized by a special pedagogical approach to the students with a high degree of support systems, where curiosity and pedagogical sparring form the basis for daily practice.

Vingehøj X also has students with multiple disabilities.
