Pedagogical staff for activity and social program at Gnisten

Are you driven by human relationships, collaboration and high professional standards? And does a smaller offering with 18 users and a staff group of eight suit you exactly? Then you may be the new colleague we are looking for to our activity and social offering at Gnisten.

Gnisten is a specialized day service in Frederikssund, working under the Danish Service Act §104 for adults with significantly reduced functioning, including users with developmental disabilities and autism. Physical, mental and practical help and support in activities, social time and daily tasks are therefore part of everyday life at Gnisten – also for users who are not self-sufficient.

Our offering is characterized by great flexibility and a safe environment with a professional basis mainly in neuropedagogy, arousal regulation, sensory-motor work and a structured pedagogical approach. We are professionally focused on relationships, communication and ethics and view observation and documentation as an important part of our work. We offer users varied activities, both indoors in our groups with 2-3 staff in each and in the café, outdoors in the garden and our large tipi as well as AKU Center Frederikssund's sport hall.

You will become part of an offering where the social and the professional focus go hand in hand, and where engagement and interdisciplinary collaboration with high professionalism are hallmarks of the staff, who are passionate about working with Gnisten's special target group. About you

Your educational background is not the most important – it could be in pedagogy, social and health or occupational therapy. Most importantly is that you can create positive relationships with the users, have a nuanced view of humanity and are grounded as a person, as our users need stable and balanced caregivers. We hope to get a new colleague who can work with development and maintenance of the users' competencies, and who finds success even in small progress.

In addition we hope you have experience with the target group and are well versed in neuropedagogy, low arousal and alternative and augmentative communication (AAC), which is at the core of our methodological approach. IT skills at user level are required – and a driving license for a regular car is clearly an advantage.

If you can also play music, do crafts or have other special skills, that would just be an extra plus.

• A full-time position of 37 hours per week with working hours between 08:00 and 16:00 on weekdays
